Rainbow Six Siege has been a game we have all loved for a long time now, but ever since North Star dropped recently in year 6, things have just not felt the same. It feels sluggish, broken, and just not fun or new anymore. This video showcases all the reasons why that this may be the end of R6 as we know it.

I used to play for hours and hours. I never got bored, I never wanted to get off the game. I only played siege and left all my other games. Every match was exciting and fun, even if I lost, I had fun. This game saved my quarantine. And now, I last longer in bed than I do in siege

Honestly it's basically been the same since 2018 for better or for worse. I still enjoy it but the queue times are getting out of hand. 30 minutes for a team deathmatch.
I'ma keep it a buck with you homie siege started dying when they took away mozzie's super shortie. Then went really down hill when they only focused on comp, graphs, number and ban rate and removing all of what makes certain operators unique. Zofia and ela's down ability ect. I personally still hold the grudge of IQ losing her frags.
It started going downhill when they took a game they marketed as a "hostage rescue game" and turned all their focus onto just the bomb game mode, the worse game mode where the only people who liked playing were the extremely sweaty players, aka, people who made the game no fun.

Can’t even be mad at tux if this is his last siege video ever. The game has no casual aspects to it anymore like it used to. No more recruit rushing, no more making friends with the enemy team. Everything tries hard in cas and it’s heart breaking the game has fallen this far and is continuing to. I’d like to end this off on a good note, thank you tuxbird. For making siege fun to watch even in its worst state. We love you and won’t ever forget these funny moments you made.

I left siege when they killed Recruit and made him only have 3 load outs. The ability to mix and match weapons and gadgets with Recruit was what kept the game interesting for me after sweating it out in ranked. Ubi still failing to do anything meaningful doesn't surprise me.

its not the reason why the game is shit. its devs probelm. they focused on shit they didnt suppose to focus. instead of keep adding operators like they used to and new mpas and make a rotation of maps . they just simply stopped adding maps and new guns and started reworking GOOD maps to make them unplayable and not enjoyable. changed UI which was good already. i hate ppl who defend UBISOFT with "adding less operators and guns bcuz balancing booho". they literally add a placeholder operators now. they game will die till the end of 2021 if the keep doing what they are doing.

@@marthaherrera588 yes, but is very situational. we should get access to all scopes, like Ying lmg, she has the 1.5, 2.0 and the 2.5x. honestly i miss the acog so much on some weapons, and practically no operator have it. We are “forced” to play with the loadouts they give us, that’s boring, no freedom in it. 1 year ago every operador had the same sights, and it was balanced, why can’t they all have it again?

For me and my friends the game lost its spark. For example devs started to nerf fun operators because of their high pickrate (not even winrate), instead of making bad operators better. Everything seems now boring and made for competitive stage. There is just no place for casuals like me. Btw would like to see more Tarkov videos.
I dropped this game ages ago, but i still gladly watch your videos on the game. I dont care what game you and your friends play, i'll stick around regardless. Always looking forward to the next video.

I was slowly playing the game less after they removed mozzie's shotty. Then i decided to quit the game when they made mira's and maestro's gadget get shattered when punched. Mozzie and mira are my mains on defense.
Bullet holes where shitty, toxic and overall bad mechanic for ranked. Agree with recoil tho.

Mf BF 2048 with Portal alone will shaft every fps with a constantly dwindling player base (overwatch, fortnite, warzone/cw/mw, siege, apex maybe?), great custom game support with fun gamemodes, and additions to a variety of old content from fan favourite games in the franchise, thats fucking game support, 2048 in it of itself looks fucking amazing and fun to play, with portal being icing on the cake, aslong as DICE do their shit correctly and do the game amazingly, i think it could genuinely outsell the new COD, considering COD players seem a bit pissed or frustrated with vanguard

The moment siege got in to the battle pass bandwagon I just instantly noped out that game. Been a season 1 player but them going back on their promise just broke a lot of people's heart.
The promise where they said they wouldn't make it pay to win or lock operators behind pay walls?
I mean after they sreamlined the game to the point where you can't even have goofy ragdolls and all the operators are just becoming scuffed versions of themselves and weird mashups... I'd say it's about time for it to die honestly, it had a good run though, went from a somewhat aesthetically pleasing, kinda gritty shooter to "my power is stronger than your power" hero fantasy

I still love playing Siege, no other game like it, it's not getting as much content as it used to and I hope we get some new maps again but the overall game balance and stability gets better each season with a lot of good quality of life changes as well

Also I think the reason the game's dying is because they're making it too competitive
True. And game only rewards you if you win. If you play whole non-casual game and lost 0-4, you gain almost nothing (both renown and battle pass wise)
So people get even more reason to get salty over the lost game.

This games was so much fun I spent so much time in this game and I feel like it’s undergo something called “the fortnite affect” this game used to be a pretty serious kinda game terrorist vs counter terrorist but now it feels so cartoony like you find out that there not terrosits and there using rubber bullets or sumtin it just kinda ruins the immersion. Honestly Ubisoft just needs to stop remaking maps I miss a lot of the old maps especially OG house like why can’t we just have that back. Everything is changing to fast and too quickly and it’s adapting to all these fetus’s that are kids it just ruins the experience, the community and the game in general. I also just hate all the new operators ik that a lot of the operators gadgets aren’t exactly realistic but I felt I could suspend by disbelief to a certain degree to believe that that could exist one day but now they’re just straight up dumb like the latest operator for example why couldn’t she be just some new medic type thing where they put a box or two down where you can get ammo, medical supplies that sort of thing, why does it have to be some fukin weird drone thing. Ik this seems like something that could exist but there would be no reason to, why have a robot that gives you meds when you could just pick them up it’s just stupid. We really went from a sledge hammer blowtorch type gadgets to a fukin health drone. I just wish the game was back to its glorious state, thanks for listening to me rant.
Operators are really why I stopped playing. These gadgets are just so gimmikey. They should be more grounded (like almost every season 1+2 operator)
it started going downhill when they added thicklock and Mozzie, at least Mozzie looks fit enough to join the SASR, Siege used to be about team Rainbow, a team that collected the best of the best from POLICE AND MILITARY backgrounds, now we have PMC's, a walking background check failure in the form of oryx, and literally a scientist with no combat training that was given a G36 and said "fuck it, go into combat and show off your ass you don't need combat training"
I agree, immersion is a crucial aspect for a videogame. I started playing siege because it felt and looked cool, now it feels like I'm playing fortnite

one thing I have always wanted from siege is if they added in night vision. where attackers can shut the power down and while the attackers have night vision, defenders have flashlights that can be turned off. To implement this, they could make the attackers be seen as two green dots where their head is and make the power shut off last for a minute or maybe a bit less. This would be really cool if they execute correctly. I have had this thought when is started playing which was near the end of operation grim sky.

i dropped this game on my console because MnK was so rampant and was waiting til i got a PC and now i have a PC but now i dont even want to play it on PC. wish i had a pc earlier so i could enjoy siege and be good at it while it was in its prime

It's because they started changing guns and equipment instead of gadgets. So many balance patches where they just take shit away. When every patch is just "fuck your nades, fuck your mag size, fuck your damage, fuck your speed" it starts to suck the fun out of the game, even if it is "'more balanced".
I love the Apex legends content tbh so I feel that it would be a great alternative if you really like the game of course
i am sad. i lost my love for the game like year 6 season 1. and even before then i rarely played i stopped grinding at around the start of year 4
Reasons seige isn’t as fun anymore:
1. Only 1 operator a season and a rework (remember 3 ops and a map)
2. Seasons pass > battle pass
3. The operator selection screen makes me think I’m playing the beta
4. Cheaters and hackers run the game now
5. Nerfing good ops instead of buffing bad ops
6. If your tuxbird reading this list, pin this comment or else I’ll show you whose in Paris

I can’t argue enough with this. R6 Siege died a long time ago. I can’t even play for 10 minutes without wanting to dashboard and play something else. I played it since it came out in 2015 up until about 8 months ago. It just isn’t the same game. Basically when they changed all the optics is when I started completely hating the game. Tux I really enjoyed the Tarkov video you posted the other day. I’ve been grinding on that game for awhile now and seriously enjoy watching content on it as well. Keep posting content on that game as well as any others you want man. But you are definitely right about R6 being dead.

Wow. It wasn't until I re-watched this video that I realized how recently siege drastically changed for the worst. Can't believe all those changes that changed how the game looked and felt were only around when North Star came out, which really wasnt that long ago. I miss the way siege used to be💔...
I stopped playing R6 2 years ago because i didn’t have ”dumb fun”, good to know there still are ppl having that type of fun

Every new season has just been..."what possible reason was there for this" for five years and i finally deleted siege for the last time two days ago.
TBH I played the shit out of it, and as soon as they added a Season Pass AND a battlepass, I left
yup I don’t think i’ve really played the game for close to a year and even then I had just came back to play with my friend again like old times but the game just isn’t the same. Honestly a great game with all the memories but it was inevitable that it would eventually lose its touch
My idea to revive siege:
Picture this, first day of year 7, a cutscene plays. All the operators are at the stadium and a bomb goes of killing most of them. Alarms sound and people are panicking. Dark figures rise from the shadow with guns and murderous intent. The screen cuts to black "RAINBOW SIX SIEGE 2" (obviously the cutscene would have more to it). The terrorists are playable on defence and the surviving ops are also playable. New comp ready maps which were made with help of top tier players. Multiple arcade modes permanently playable such as "No limits"(rip off overwatch lol) where you can have 5 of the same op and many more fun modes. siege is fun again and no longer a chore to play. Siege 2 could have a new game engine and sound design, this all depends on ubi putting the money in tho.
