He's the closest thing I'll ever get to seeing a modern Larry Bird. I want to take this and the Larry Bird best passes compilation and build a comparison video showing them. Joker looks like he's a match for Larry when it comes to static passing, and almost as good when off ball and on the move, which is huge as Larry's Bird is thr best off-ball on-the-move passer of all time. Joker still has a few years to develop too, so he may end up surpassing Larry Legend as a pure passer. Magic still has the highest career win%, with Larry about 9 wins behind despite his far inferior team - I wonder as his team keeps improving whether joker can start to really push up that win % stat and get into the same ballpark.
What I love about these passes is that they are only as fast as necessary. Most of the passes are soft lobs to the precise point where the teammate can catch it easily and focus on the shot. Often I see passes where the player forces it into a tight window with too much velocity and the player has to focus on catching the pass first which takes away from focusing on the shot. Probably adds a few assists every game.

As a "chubby" guard back home, back in the day, came in handy in the pros. Fundamentally, Euro basketball coaches' requires them to be efficient in passing, ball handling, use of both hands. Definitely using them now.

Joker is maybe the most unique player in NBA history; certainly the most complete player in the last 40-50 years...and the most unique I have seen. Pick any current player in the NBA to build a team around...who would it be?
I would build around Jokic, Steph, or Giannis. Them 3 I seen can elevate their play whoever they face and get their teammates involved. They care about winning and their teammates elevate their play when they on the floor with them. They can impact on other areas, don’t need to be scoring.

He will throw lobs to Gordon or Faried, throw no look or sling pass to KCP, Morris, Murray, MPJ... at the 3pt line, throw waterpolo full court pass (on time and on target) to Brown, Green, Braun, whoever is running fastbreak , throw no look, over the shoulder, behind the back, bounce pass to all of them cutting.
Joker with Gordon is such a duo. Though Joker can find pretty much anyone anywhere. Nuggets vs Celtics final is my prediction. And I am new to NBA since MJ was the King 👑 :)

He actually has some of the best handles for a big man, is one of the top scorers in the league, generates amazing plays (even if he usually isn't the one dunking), is an underrated defender, top notch rebounder, and elevates his whole team to play better at all times.
