Jesus is the only begotten son of God and primary creator of the world as recounted in Genesis, BUT They are two separate beings with a father-son relationship God is "heavenly father" because he created our spirits and jesus Christ is "father" effectively because he is a perfect mentor and creator of the world under his fathers direction They are only referred to as the same and one in the sense that they are the same in purpose because they are both perfect beings. So yes you should believe Jesus is a perfect being and a God, but not God as in Elohim, there is a clear distinction there and to say there is only on god goes against the accounts within the book of Abraham and the clarity in the scriptures that Jesus can do very similar things to God after proper preparation and teaching with perfect obedience while they are two separate entities.
I have read your comment, Just a disclosure, I have not read the book of Abraham, if there is such. From the 66 books of the bible that I have also read, I believe the scriptures that there is One God, and Jesus Christ is that very same one God that came in the flesh.
