    I checked the Ghana investment promotion center and WOW. is there investment capital for businesses HIGH. I wanted to volunteer teaching my new method of making a cement fabric for infrastructure, my new desalination method, and my CSP steam engine design for massive permaculture systems, but as a startup with limited capital and connections, and more realistically, an african in america wanting to emigrate back to the motherland, this is extremely disheartening. It's like Africa is making me jump through hoops just to return to the land of my ancestors

    It seems like Ghana wants to encourage foreign investors to work WITH Ghanaian business rather than just buy Ghana out. I can respect the protectionist move. Just partner with a Ghanaian and spend $200k also like she said exports, manufacturing, and portfolio investments are exempt.

    Thanks for Sharing, appreciate very much your valuable and impressive informations, very informative. I been to Accra twice unfortunately for a trading Company they are asking one million dollars for equity for a Trading Company involved in import and wholesales, for free zone they have restrictions that any thing manufactured will be sold in local market and very small percentage is allowed to export. I did worked very hard, but unfortunately could not made it due to so heavy requirements on investment and equity. I wanted to establish textile import and wholesale business. But they have so many res tapes. Beside, their Visa allocation is too strict from Pakistan as every time they demand whole bunch of documents to be presented, no benefit on repeat Visa. Now again I been planning to visit Accra but due to Visa stupidity I am looking for other African destination with facility of own sea port. And following your information on your channel considering Kenya.

      @Chaz get a local lawyer to act on your behalf. They can register the company, hire an auditor and act as your company secretary and offer advice on business matters. As she said if you're starting in manufacturing or export you can use this route. Otherwise you need to contact the Ghana Investment Promotion Centre and have the $1m to invest or find a Ghanaian to partner with in which case you'd only need $200k to start up.

    The process of allowing the descendants of slave victims during the transatlantic slave trade that was captured from West Africa by europeans called, the right of return should not be dependent on the amount of money there descendents bring to West Africa. This makes it look like west Africa is only interested in the money the descendants can bring to the countries in Africa. How many black people have a million dollars in the United States to invest in a business in Africa. Under 1% of the population. How many people would be involved in a business where they don't have any controls in the businesses. The descendants of the victims of the slave trade should have special privilege to return to there home land and to open businesses with out any problems with any visa or a lack of large amounts of capital. If they can make the journey back to there home land, they should be let in the country. You never know, They might turn sent the wrong. Dlion

      You need to LOBBY for this. Organize the black business chamber of commerce and send 100 delegates to meet up with an envoy of the Ghana's government and let them know you want this. But the problem is ya'll don't know how to organize yourselves. I would say we (because us Africans are not much better) but we're talking about what you guys want and I totally agree, you guys should have exemptions - ALL African people should have exemptions - we should always give each other better treatment over outsiders.

    I am a West-African/American now and I am exploring business opportunities. I know Africa has changed in the last 30 years when I left the continent but I am surprised Africa is one of the most expensive place to start a business. If Africa is “poor” why industrial structures are exorbitant in African’s economies (I am looking at Côte d’Ivoire.) This doesn’t make sense to me.

    • @jzk2020
      @jzk2020 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Go where its easier to start a business. Those other nations will see the progress of those places and remove their stupid red tape. I mean I was seriously thinking about starting a business in Ghana... but after being reminded that I might need $200,000+ just to be able to do business there, I'm taking my human resources and capital to Rwanda.

    • @merveilmeok2416
      @merveilmeok2416 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@jzk2020Thanks for you response.
      I heard people used the number $1 million a lot and I didn't believe that so I Googled/researched "Start a small business in Cote d'Ivoire" (or sometimes "Africa") but I couldn't believe: those business startups cost much more than American franchises and independent businesses.
      When Africa will develop our middle class?
      China is many times less expensive than Africa and China is #1 or #2 economy in the world. Why African governments are killing our own economies? Africa has 1.2 billion population (population quadrupled since I left Africa) and our brothers and sisters are buying products and consuming European and American companies.
      For example, to start a business, you buy an equipment + 5% Customs PLUS + 18% business taxes while a government of an "Developing Country" assumes entrepreneurs are trying to make people's lives easier. Basically the government takes away 1/4th of your investment power before you even start. In my state (US) they don't tax production equipment for a reason.

    Hello my fellow brothers and sisters across the globe. I thought I would use this kind young lady's platform, to present an opportunity for ONLY the so called black people IN THE DIASPORA across the globe that wish to repatriate back to Africa. The AfrikaBa Foundation's family head is Simon from GhanaMoneyTV(subscribe); and we at AfrikaBa established a platform on What'sApp that allows us to discuss not only making the transition from across the globe to Africa; but to unify us as a people. We discuss removing obstacles that you may have that may prevent anyone from repatriating. We discuss business ideas, strategies on repatriating permanently, and much much more . We are currently discussing ways on developing the group such as structuring as far as investing and the future development into the Our Motherland, inviting and welcoming new members, and we also are forming a scout team here in the U.S. to go to Ghana within like the next 90 days, to go to Ghana whether to visit or stay; gather information and bring back to the states. Below, I will post links to Facebook and What'sApp to the network. From there, you can patch into the network. I will be part of the scout team that leaves for Ghana in the first week of this coming February. So far, it is me and another brother named Dorell that is here with me in Seattle, WA who has been to Ghana and has people there. So, if you are on the fence about going because you feel you can not afford the trip, or you feel like you don't know anyone there, or for whatever reason you feel intimidated about exploring our ancestors homeland; PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE; BROTHERS AND SISTERS, DO NOT ALLOWTHESE THINGS STOP/ HINDER YOU FROM DOING SOMETHING GREAT. All I ask is that you come to the network and just sit in and listen. There is no fee, so it is TOTALLY FREE WITH NO OBLIGATIONS. PLEASE, ONLY SERIOUS PEOPLE WHO ARE BLACK; AND NO SOLICITERS OF ANY KIND. If you decide to come to the network; I promise you will feel like you are home...!!!! I'll see ya'll in the chat room....
    Shalom, family(Peace unto you)...

      If u partner with a Ghanaian it comes down to about two hundred thousand. This is done so Ghanaians benefit from said company or u can just start an export business and u won’t need any minimum capital at all but if it’s still doesn’t look attractive to u it ok Gh isn’t for everyone
