I’ve thought about it. I haven’t tested it or really seen any product info on HardieBacker’s Hydro Defense sheet. To me, I bought some by accident, didn’t really know that I had bought some. it just seems to be the same as Hardiebacker, but with a red tint to the surface. I like my showers to be uniform in waterproofing product, coloring, etc. I have tried Hydro Ban sheet membrane, and been looking into some other products.
Great video and very helpful. Curious why not instead use Hardie Backer "With Hydro Defense" and then just waterproof the seams?
