We COMPLETED Kaylin's Rabbit Colony Pen.

After building the structure, we wrapped it with Chicken Wire and dug down around the pen 1.5 Ft and buried a thicker wire around the pen to prevent the rabbits from digging out. We opted not to put wire on the floor of the pen because the last time we did that with chicken wire, it rotted within a year and the rabbits were able to dig out. After doing a lot of research about how to wire an outdoor pen we read that if you bury wire at least a foot and a half deep around the pen that they 'shouldn't' be able to dig deeper or chew thru the thicker gage wire...
So far so good! Our rabbits are happy and most of all our Daughter Kaylin LOVES the pen. She can go in and sit and play with all of her female rabbits.
