    In my last video about the CELTA, I mentioned that one of the most difficult aspects of the CELTA Course is preparing a Lesson Plan. If you are already a teacher, you might think that preparing a lesson plan is a piece of cake. However, I can assure you that it’s not as easy as may you think. In this video, I am going to explain how to prepare a lesson plan using my own lesson plan as an example so that you can understand how to make your CELTA Lessons work well. It seems that planning a lesson takes more much time than the duration of the session. Can you send me the lesson plan in word format so as to have as a basis for my further teaching sessions. Thanks for the comprehensive explanation and details.

    Thank you a bunch for this content. It is really comprehensive, informative, detailed and useful for a CELTA candidate as it relates to lesson planning. I'd like to pose a question, in case I want to deliver a listening lesson, the only subskills that I have to focus on are listening for the gist and listening for details or there are other ones that I should take into account! Many thanks in advance.

    • @ExamSeekers
      @ExamSeekers  2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Thank you for the feedback. I'm really glad that this content is useful 🥰
      Now, to answer your question, there are at least two other subkills for listening which are SCANNING and INFERRING.
      Scanning involves searching for numbers, symbols and long words; AND Inferring is making inferences. That is, you listen and try to draw a conclusion from what you've listened. 😊

    Good afternoon. I'd like to pose a question concerning lexis teaching. Is it possible to teach lexis via listening? I mean using a transcript talking about a controversial issue where opinions differ and my primary aim is to teach students separated words, multy-words and chunks related to expressing opinions followed by appropriate exercises to practice words in question. Many thanks in advance.

    • @ExamSeekers
      @ExamSeekers  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Of course you can. Actually, what you've mentioned is exactly a way of doing so. Although, there is not exactly a specific way of teaching. What you can do is to pre-teach vocab and work with a text or a recording, or give the recording or the text and take the vocab from these places. For instance, you can give them words and ask them to try to find synonyms in the text/audio and work with vocab. You can deal with the teaching the way you think it's best! :)

      So you know any Cambridge authorized center in Turkey? If you give them a call, they might offer the online.
      In Brazil there are plenty of authorized centers who provide this service online, like @São Paulo Open Center or Seven Idiomas.
      I guess if you e-mail them, even if they are Brazilian websites, you can get some replies.
      Also, check the Cambridge Website, they show authorized centers around the world.

    In your aim statement, you wrote " ...students will have developed ..." I think It's unachievable because skills need time to develop and you can't achieve that in one lesson.

    • @ExamSeekers
      @ExamSeekers  2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yeah... you can choose to put "will have practiced" maybe it works better.
      They won't have fully developed, but they are on the way, right? And a bit in this class....
