A part of me wonders if Zeus knew or suspected that there was a traitor among the Olympians(Athena) who orchestrated Ares' death, and was set on investigating Kratos throughout his pilgrimage in order to try and ascertain which god had betrayed Olympus. I mean, think about it. Zeus could've killed Kratos at any point throughout this. He spies on him throughout side games and doesn't try to make at least one underhanded cowardly attack? Despite being as paranoid as he was about the Marked Warrior prophecy, you mean to tell me he doesn't take a single opportunity to eliminate Kratos as a threat entirely, even after finding out Deimos was not the fated Ghost of Sparta? Doesn't seem right. He left Kratos alone to see if his actions throughout his journey would give him information. Yeah I know Ares had gone crazy and it makes sense the rest of Olympus would want him dead, but sending a mortal to obtain the power to kill a god is the perfect catalyst for any godkiller prophecy. Zeus, realizing that this was no mere coincidence, put two and two together and assumed the form of an old geezer to spy on Kratos and try make sense of his actions, and determine which god it would benefit the most to want Kratos to obtain his godkiller powers. Little did he know his closest advisor and the wisest amongst his kin not only conspired against him but also was the true architect of his downfall.
No in the book its said that ares and athena were about to fight beacause ares is jealous of her being the favorite of zeus, but zeus forbidd them to fight mutually so he allowed athena ti pick a warrior to fight ares. So here as a grave digger he was nice because he wanted to get red of ares since ares wanted at some point to rule olympus too. Once the box oppened zeus was controlled by fear towards kratos but he couldnt do anything about it since kratos is a protégé of athena so thats why he couldnt attack kratos, but everything changed in gow 2 athena Warned kratos about olympus, they were growing tired of him destroying everything but kratos didnt care so she stepped aside thats where zeus betrayed kratos and kimled him
THE GRAVE DIGGER WAS NICER IN GOD OF WAR (2005) THAN IN GOD OF WAR: GHOST OF SPARTA THE VOICE OF THE GRAVE DIGGER IS PAUL EIDING THE VOICE OF GRANDPA MAX FROM BEN 10

Climbing out of hell was an all time gaming moment for me

The Grave Digger was Zeus in disguise.
@@johnsantos507 I KNOW THAT 😄👍
It’s Zeus.. so what you could say instead is that Zeus was Nicer to him as a Grave digger in disguise than being his actual self towards Kratos 💀💀💀
he was nicer in 2005 because evils of pandora's box
The grave digger is zeus, he’s less nice because of kratos opening the box releasing the evils that affected zeus
Notice how the grave digger has a scar on the left side of his face. Opposite of Kratos. Shows the connection between them.
The Grave Digger (aka) Zeus said that Kratos has become death, The destroyer of Worlds.
athena isn't the only god keeping watch on you spartan
So grave digger is basically zeus???
Man i thought he was Thanatos the god of death
Yes, grave digger is really zeus
I love zeus
Grave digger=zeus
U can't believe my shock when i unlocked him as character and he turned into Zeus😅
The Grave Digger AKA Zeus
