Roses and plumes, Plumes = Welsh silver, Roses = English silver. These were typical in the late 17th and 18th century coins. Some coins have a mix of both like my 1705 shilling. Nice group.

The only way to make money buying coins is at an auction ,,I've seen 5 coin volume 's full of someone collection go for £10 ,😮

Due to extremely worn appearance of most of these they must have been in circulation for 100 plus years; technically they were all legal coins until 1971.

Nice to see some younger lads getting into coins. I gave my little 10yr old bro a worn 1905 six pence and now hes obsessed with checking his change looking at all the dates on his coins to find the oldest. I already told him 1971 will be the oldest coin you will ever find in your change but he will learn that silver sixpence from 120yrs ago no longer circulate 🤣

Nice find, enjoyable video! Coins like these make me think of the thousands of people who've handled them and the vast range of stuff they've bought, almost as if they have a store of 'spiritual' value (history) that an uncirculated coin wouldn't have. In that sense they are a connection to our ancestors ... or maybe I'm just weird 🤣

lovely video... as an english coin collector in the united states i always get sad to hear the values of the coins as they were to be sold in the uk... here in the states its at least double for every coin and then add on a crazy postage fee...

us coins are overpriced here in the states too... us mint is outrageous with there prices on new commemoratives.. royal mint does a good job on pricing fairly@@BitsAndBobsCoins
