Correction: a clipped planchet error happens during the blanking process and not the strike. It's caused by the planchets being cut from the sheet too closely to each other.

I found this coin metal detecting today, its in good condition but has clearly been circulated. How do you go about grading coins? Just a rough idea

You need to check the 2019 alphabet mintages again, as nearly all had a mintage of 84,000 not 110,000. Some of the alphabets were even lower Q - 83,000, R - 64,000, while W, Y, and Z only had a mintage of 63,000.

So glad you've finally got around to doing this, but I think you should have been doing it as you got the coins. I note that due to the increase in the price of silver, many people are selling their 'junk silver' for cash, and those historic coins are being sent in for melt, which is terrible!
