Joke was basically a diss track to all the haters who told him he could not rap fast. As and under ground rapper him and suga were receiving flame for 'betraying' and leaving to become idols. Suga also dedicated a song to them called august d. But now back to joke. He was basically saying even if I dont rap fast (doesn't mean he can't) my words have a deeper meaning and my flow is much sicker. All you people are just uttering words that dont make sense in a quicker speed. Hence he started making fun of them by saying things like "bubidi babidi chigimi chagami" and so on. Hope this cleared up a few things. When you are doing j hope please react to base line. It's my ultimate favorite song of his.

I'm a 52 year old white woman and RM's rap gives me chills. He is just to good. His flow is so smooth. I like old school 80's rap. Back when the artists had a message they wanted the world to hear. RM is saying the rappers of today have no real message. Good music comes from your heart and when others hear it they can feel the passion you put into it. Most Modern Rap lacks Passion.
BTS made me like rap again because the reminded me of the old school sounds and meaningful messages when I was growing up. Hip Hop when it started was about bringing communities and people together, not to judge or tear them apart. It addressed serious issues, too. It cause a lot of controversy because you weren't supposed to put a spotlight on social issues. And all that was before the deep messages got overshadowed by videos and lyrics solely about big money, fast cars, and objectifying women. The fact that it has spread globally just reinforces what hip hop was meant to be. It's terrible BTS were judged and ridiculed for many things including wearing makeup and fashion. People forget about the beginning of hip hop and rap and DJs and b-boys. I remember Grandmaster Flash and the Furious Five. Look at those old videos and what they were wearing.

This song and a lot of their songs are about addressing the haters. Their songs are also about self love, confidence, women and youth impoverishment, mental health, bullying, and such. They have a campaign with unicef to end violence for young people all over the world. You should check out their biography called introduction to bts.
RM uses A LOT of GENIUS wordplay hybrid English and Korean. When I first started checking out his solos, I had to take longer to break each song down to understand because theres so much cultural context that he weaves into his wordplay that I miss because I am not fluent in Korean culture. Yes RM is for sure the goat lol I only like a few American rappers but I love me some Korean rap. All 3 rappers in BTS are amazing and they each have their own style but they are so talented. Filter and Serendipity are my favorite Jimin songs that you really need to see. I really enjoyed this reaction and your calming voice. Yes, RM's flow switches are out of this world and he is pretty much a lyrical genius. He got so much hate for leaving the underground rap scene. As a teenager! Did you know RM has worked with Wale? He’s just RM now. He says he’s outgrown the name rap monster. Suga is an award winning producer. Don’t you wonder how they are able to switch up with out problems from their record company.? RM is really respected by renowned rappers in both South Korea and America (Wale, Warren G, for example). To me, he has old-school hip hop vibes and he (and J-Hope) even listed some influences in Hip Hop Phile (or Hip Hop Lover), which is a BTS song. Check out RM’s Awakening or the collab with Wale if you haven’t already-its called Change.
Rm grew up looking up to american hip hop artist especially the OGs. Its no surprise that his talent being influenced with these people he became rap monster. I once read when i started being a bts fan that he was a true student of hip hop

Yes RM is for sure the goat lol I only like a few American rappers but I love me some Korean rap. All 3 rappers in BTS are amazing and they each have their own style but they are so talented. RM has a high IQ (148) and is so good at word play and the way he switches between Korean and English is just so dope. Great reaction!
Filter and Serendipity are my favorite Jimin songs that you really need to see. I really enjoyed this reaction and your calming voice. Yes, RM's flow switches are out of this world and he is pretty much a lyrical genius. He got so much hate for leaving the underground rap scene. As a teenager! It has a visual but you won't hear the whole song that way. It does have a concert performance just like "Serendipity". For this song you can also watch a color coded lyric video.
