I don't know how to say it but the way you started this hunt felt...really realistic to what the Hunter/Huntress would do in that situation. I was weirdly immersed.
No matter how much i love Rise in terms of its gameplay combat improvement, cant deny that this ultimately is the best hunting immersion experience. I did this almost exclusively in world coz its the only installment where you can do exactly like this. Kudos!
Exactly, I really enjoy Rise, because it feels „faster“ for me if that makes sense.. But I reaaaally miss the atmosphere in world/iceborne. Maybe it‘s the graphics of the environment, or overall the environmental interaction like traps, etc. I even enjoyed grinding the guiding lands, cuz of it‘s beautiful diversity Man, I would love a world/IB sequel for next gen consoles :(
@@milanschultze8623 yeah definitely. Rise although in terms of gameplay is by far better imo.(in terms of combat) the variety in world is good. Except some little nitpick i hate which is tenderizing with the clutch claw.
@@milanschultze8623 Not to worry, it's basically guaranteed that we'll get a sequel for next gen. Which is fine bc the combat is great, but I do miss the crazy environment and immersion of World. Honestly, I think MH is one series where they innovate with every entry so I could see them going even deeper with the environmental interactions, maybe even to the point of a true open world! I also really wanna see Tri's underwater experience return, with Lagi in tow ofc :D
Ya i really like this kind of opening..felt very monster hunter rather than just like some hack n slash games where u come in n just whack the monsters
They did amazing job at creating these environments and monster behaviour surrounding them, love to see it come back and expand upon more immersive stuff makes the monsters feel more authentic that way in my opinion.
@@dan_da5213 world feels like a living breathing well... World. It's like your apart of it and not just the main focus point. Monsters move and interact with each other without you doing anything etc. Older games are like that but you can't exactly see it only in the cutscenes.
Imagine you have to hunt a hulking beast that has become even more ferocious, bloodthirsty, and mad. You get to the map you're ready to drop at the camp but you pass it. No big deal you could use your powders and drugs in the zone you're dropped at. But then you are put right in the crosshairs of the monster. That would be terrifying.
The pro hunter starts with every possible buff and advantage they can stack, timing and positioning everything to start with, and hopefully keep as much damage input as possible The legendary hunter charges in with no prep time and begins the hunt with the only advantage they need, their own ambition and skill.

0:25 just wanted to say you could have used the built in claw attack for faster wounding if that makes sense If you don't know if you press the aiming slinger button (L2 for ps4 for example) after a dodge with your weapon drawn you'll do an uppercut with your clutch claw which if chained directly with your claw attack will directly wound the monster
It’s clips like these that make me realize how stupidly overpowered hunters were in World, especially for those that mastered the clutch claw. Still can’t say the absolute thrashings Rise monsters give out regularly is any better, but it is certainly less of race to make a monster face plant into a wall as many times as possible.
