    Great analysis about value of different colors in impressionist painting.
    This was eye opener! It baffles me that you don't have more subscribers

    Very interesting concepts you taught thru out this video enjoyed this video on learning about historical artists..thank you...👩‍🎨🎨 ps what was the median used for the four apples the student painting the student did ?? Can you only use pointalism with acrylic or oil? More and more I wish I could have taken your class could I do this pointalism impressionism with watercolor paint? Does it have to be brush strokes or can it be dots does it matter?

      Lots of little dots is best! - yes it will work with watercolours...but you want separate little marks and not broads washes, so keep the page dry...

    Question...should a shadow just be 1 temperature in a painting?

    • @edcooper1422
      @edcooper1422  ปีที่แล้ว

      HI - Glad you enjoyed it!- No - If an area is in shadow it can still illuminated by indirect light & also reflected light (which might be different colors). This can cause a change in temperature. For example a building in shadow might be cooler at the top - but warm up at the bottom as reflected light from the road bounces up.
