Amazing to hear the double of a one no trump opening described as "takeout". It's been penalty as long as I've been playing (since 1975), unless you are playing a conventional double such as DONT.
I've been playing since 1960 and I always heard a double of 1NT is for penalties and shows 15 (some people play 16) or more points. You take it out if you are weak with a long suit.
@@malcolmdale9607 Both Drier and Goren said it was a takeout double, which IMHO was erroneous at the time they spoke. (1NT)-X hasn't been takeout (informatory, in those days) since Auction Bridge.

Also bidding a suit after first making a take-out double would show at least a semi-forcing hand
