MAKS 2017 - SR-10 Forward Swept Wing Jet Trainer - HD 50fps

- The KB SAT SR-10 (КБ САТ, СР-10) is a russian single-engine jet trainer aircraft prototype that features forward-swept wings. The aircraft is intended to provide elementary and intermediate flight training for future military fighter aircraft pilots, athletes and amateur pilots. The first SR-10 prototype made its maiden flight on 25 December 2015. The jet is being offered to the Russian Air Force and for export as well as civilian use.
The Russian design bureau KB SAT (Sovremyenne Aviatsyonne Tekhnologii - Modern Aircraft Technologies) began work on a single-engine jet trainer and sport aircraft, the SR-10, back in 2007, displaying a mockup at the MAKS airshow at Zhukovsky in August 2009. The SR-10 is a mid-wing monoplane of all-composite construction, with a 10º forward wing swept. The crew of two sit in a tandem cockpit. It is powered by a single turbofan, an Ivchenko AI-25V AI25TSR (modification of AI25TL) fitted in the prototype, but more modern Russian engines, such as the NPO Saturn AL-55 are proposed for production aircraft.
The SR-10 was offered to meet a 2014 requirement for a basic trainer for the Russian Air force, but was rejected in favour of the Yakovlev Yak-152, a piston-engined trainer. Despite this setback, KB SAT continued to develop the SR-10, proposing it as an intermediate trainer between the Yak-152 and the Yak-130 advanced jet trainer and for export.
In July 2017, KB SAT announced that it had developed an unmanned variant of the aircraft named the AR-10 Argument

This was quite a straight flight for a forward swept wing aircraft. I expected.... more.
But it looks real cool :)
I suppose it can do more but it was yet at an early testing stage to push it further in low altitude in a public airshow. Maybe this year we can see more :)
I know for a fact they have been conducting high alpha tests at a safe altitude ;)

El Su-47 ya terminó como proyecto, no se producirá en masa. Una lástima por que era bello pero no tiene sentido en los tiempos que corren, hay cazas mejor preparados.

Can't argue against that. Big time fan of the 47 myself.
Approaching mach 2 the base of the forward swept wings in the SU-47 would start to crack. Very dangerous. But for a subsonic trainer like this one it's just fine.
What is the main purpose of this swept wing jet trainer ? To move on a higher swept wing jet fighter ?

Not exactly... although the Su-47 made first flight more than a decade after The X-29, they had been doing research and planning for a Forward Swept Wing prototype since much earlier. Both were thought to test the suitability of FSW designs after what had been learned about them at the end of WWII.

Военно-воздушные силы используют YAK-130 и YAK-152 для обучения, пока не ясно, будут ли они заказывать SR-10. Я считаю это более интересным для гражданского использования и занятий спортом.

Пересадить с L-36 и L-39. Как устаревшие в скоростном набирании высоты. На десятке установлено кресло-катапульта "0 -- 0", украинская силовая установка, замена на российскую. Як 52М будет постепенно менятся на Як 152. Эти самолеты не конкурируют между собой в летных характеристиках, выполняют лишь роль в последовательности обучения.
