Funny that Paul says nobody wants to here From Me To You when they're 40, but lots of folks still want to listen to it now that he's in his 80s.😊😊

Watching the Beatles interviews from 1963-1966, you really see how fun loving, good natured, and forthcoming they all are in ‘63, ‘64 slowly growing to bitterness and disdain in late ‘65 and into 1966. It’s pretty remarkable. Beatlemania really took a toll on them.

Paul got a bit of an ego in the later years when he was controlling the decisions for the band

No bitterness. They were just tired of the same silly questions from the press. They became mature artists at the time and the press didn't get it.

It’s been said that John was brought up speaking more of an RP English accent by his aunt, and that during his later teens he began adapting a Liverpool/Lancashire accent and dialect to fit more in with the rest of the band and to have more of a local and working-class image in their club days. Here it’s clear that George and Ringo have a more distinctive drawl (Harrison especially), while John is speaking a lot like Paul with the softer accent. In later years the other members’ accents seemed to soften and become less “Liverpool” and more general northern English, and John’s only seemed to get stronger and more pronounced. The “Scouse” accent that is well know today is not the same accent that the Beatles had because they were before it became widespread, and they are from southern parts of the city. George Harrison always said certain words gave him away, like “hair” pronounced more like “her.” You can here it clearly in this video

I love comments like this, very interesting and informative. As a non native English speaker, I don't have the ears to accurately identify where such accent comes from. Generically, I can point out which American English is Southern, East Coastal or Midwestern due to their distinct pronunciations, as well as some well-known traits of some variants like UK, Irish, Canadian, and Caribbean. Each Beatle voice is deeply engraved in my mind, so I'll probably never confuse one for the other. Getting small details, however, is a totally different story. I can't say how or when they sound more Liverpoodlian or just anywhere else from North England. When they talk to Americans I can't notice the subtle differences. I consider this very interesting, anyway, therefore, such comments are valuable to me. Thank you very much for sharing your knowledge!

Even their thoughts are in harmony:
John: 'What is it, record things.'
    George: 'Returns...'
    John: 'Returns.'

Why do we have to age? They were all SO handsome & Paul, geez what a dream. He's still ok now but 60+ years HAS aged him, it's cruel but God's plan I guess. At least their songs don't age & will continue thru the generations.

Melanie Coe. Coincidently and unbeknownst to Paul she's the same girl that he wrote She's Leaving Home about 3 years later, when she'd ran away from home and he read a story about it in the paper.
