My thought, which I will probably test myself as it’s easy to do, is once you use the swather, can you leave the swaths to come back later and pick up, or do they whither like the crop does when it’s not harvested
To all of those people wondering about crop destruction and the MacDon swather swaths. I have tried this test with crop destruction on and the result is still the same, no difference in yield (same as Farmer Cops video). I have also tested the MacDon swather swaths, drove all over them and still the same result as Farmer Cops video, no difference in yield.
I’m curious if rain decreases overall yield after harvest on grass. I like to cut grass twice before I pick it up, saves time, labor, etc…. I know in past farm sim games it has, not really sure about 25. Food for thought… great videos, keep it up!
it was what i presumed, it dosent matter. good u tested that for us all, now we all know its safe to drive over cut grass and hay and straw, nemas problemas with that,.
Even in real life when driving over swaths (unless constantly driving over it) it is only marginally going to effect it, in fact where i live we use a swath roller (or sometime just a tractor if you dont have a roller) to pack the swath down a bit to prevent the wind from lifting it, usually for hay as it sits on the field to dry all others are picked up as soon as possible to prevent the all too common wind from taking it.
My uncle at his cattle ranch uses one of those rollers to also keep the hay from touching the very hot underside of the tractor while baling. He had a big fire kick up because of that.
I was wondering if you could combine that stone maker factory and use a belt system to connect it to a cement factory and have a fully automatic constant income? I'd have to try that one, as well as some other auto productions using belts and factories :D
That is interesting, I thought it would've been less after being drove over since chaff in the silage silo goes down when you compact it before covering it.
That one does make sense in a way. Because liters and bushels are both units of volume, when you fill a bunker with 5mil liters to fill it full, you have 5mil liters of volume, then you need to compact it, increasing density, or just removing the air, or whatever, im not a farm just a deep thinker.... anyways, compacting it increases density, making your 5mil liters take up only 4mil million liters of space. Where as driving over/compacting the windrows, yes, you are doing the same thing, until you pick it up, and generally speaking, you are not compacting nearly as much as a bunker silo. When picked up, it (for lack of better words) fluffs it back up. So it makes sense if you stop to really think about it. Also, side note, I pulled all the numbers out of my rear end
Im curious on if you dump crops on the ground if there is any loss, and if it is the same for all types of ground. I use belts and loader wagons to mix my tmr in bulk, right now i have enough for 3 months sitting in tardis tippers.... and am curious if im losing silage and hay because of how i mix my tmr
Id love to know what kind of crops gets destroyed by which kind of vehicle or tire type. Is it only crops that are ready to be harvested that can be destroyed by driving over them? Do narrow tires even matter ? Do tracks vs tire matter?
Tires do effect ground deformation, and I noticed wet fields are a lot more slippery than previous games. I can not wait for the mud physics mods to get released, so we can actually dig in and get stuck
Is there a Discord or something that we can ask you questions about tests and stuff? I'd like to have a test of the value of wheat, barley, and oats with seasons turned OFF, to see which one is better in the long run, seeing as you can do multiple oat harvests in a lot less time than wheat or barley. I'd be happy to get the yield for each one, but I don't know how to process that data
I was wondering this same thing. Would this test be totally different if crop destruction was turned on? I don't remember that being mentioned in the video stating if it was on or off.
...why are you asking? If you don't want a 3rd party mod, your only option is ModHub, which you can easily browse or search both in-game or on the website. If there's nothing there matching what you're looking for, then clearly it only exists on 3rd party sites. If at all.
Ok now the BIG question on it, what about the Mac Don crop swaths? These seem to be slightly different in game to regular grass or straw swaths
That's what I thought he was testing at first.

I just wondered about this and this video dropped
Ty for running it! Seems obvious, but sim games aren't always obvious. :D

Thanks for testing that one, I've been wondering about it :)

Like your video and your farm
Is this with cropdestruction on or off?

Would love to see how different tires affect traction.
I belive you did this fos FS22.
Would love to see that aswell.

What happen last night? I came into the game today and most of my mods were gone to include my silo with a full season of soybean?
Out of curiosity does anyone know a mod tracker for fs25 on Xbox, not to confuse anyone but I'm asking about like a mod release road map so to speak
Ohh....
No crop destruction on?
I was wondering this same thing. Would this test be totally different if crop destruction was turned on? I don't remember that being mentioned in the video stating if it was on or off.
@@johnbaeten2470 It was off.
Seen wher the FENDT drove into the grass.
@@johnbaeten2470 And also include the McDon swath.
@@Rene-e9p well no, grass just doesn't get effected by crop destruction, i drive over my grass all the time with no issues with crop destruction on
@@johnbaeten2470 u know u can test it for us and see what u came up with. i will test it also... im on pc...btw.
ok but can we talk about how much even unswathed hay thrashes around machines
Asking again if anyone knows of a mod for a fermenting silo that isn’t on a third party site? TIA.

Bit of a fair stretch for content 😂 why would it effect it its in the coding that no harvested crop can be destroyed not even worht the test
