Coconut milk prices went up almost 10x compared to 10 yrs ago, no choice. Supply tapering due to overharvesting, the initial phase of mania and mass production were from trees that were planted 30 yrs ago, now the same trees can't yield the same amount. Look up 'Coconut Market Faces Supply Issues', prices will just get worse so expect it to taste like normal rice as time goes on.
amazing video!! so glad this video is main at serangoon! will go and try!! ps : can invite xixi for next get fed? excited to see her recommendations HAHAH ❤❤
You guys should have ordered the steam fish at white house teochew porridge, it freshly cooked, not like the rest of the dishes They accept CDC voucher, so good time to go eat if you haven't spend yours before it expires
Went down to tried today overall was really good. The rice is super fragrance, the sambal is really goes well with the rice and ikan bilis. Chicken really taste good just abit disappointed because is not as described as the video crispy on the outside. 👍👍Must try their SOUP👍👍
@@audeamus7388 You nailed it. Food looks good but this is one of the worst episodes in terms of the contribution from guests. Not the usual funny episode. Don't invite him back.
Kokoyo is no where any better than village park nor best in SG, and it is on the pricey side. Try Chong Pang Nasi Lemak that is right beside Chong Pang Camp, that is even better.
@@overkillsingapore If ure talking about KL, Nasi lemak bumbung, nasi lemak basmathi, nasi lemak wanjo, but tbh alot of roadside nasi lemak can beat village park. I also take Ozempic as recommended by my cardiologist. Miracle drug. The only thing that helps me lose weight. US report also showed that it can reduce cardiac arrest risk by 20%. My blood test results have improved tremendously and has never been better especially my fatty liver which has normalised because of my weight loss. Me and my cardiologists are very pleased with the results. I’m still on Ozempic and will carry on taking. It’s so popular that the hospital can only give you one pen per month as there is a global shortage due to the massive demand.
@@overkillsingapore How come I cannot see my comments anymore? Anyway my doctor said just lose weight as there are no effective medication or supplements for fatty liver.
Just tried the Nasi lemak . Very ordinary . Both the chicken and rice is a letdown . To compare with village park is night and day . Their kueh salat and bubu Hitam is nice though ..
ahhhh...... by putting ryan at the side, he can only turn to 1 direction to talk to the other 2 hosts. Then he won't always turn to 1 side to interact to 1 host, and neglect the other 1.

I think an improment would be for Ben to use the word x number of times per episode, and if Ben is not within plus minus 3 of the x times, he gotta do a punishment, maybe like a disgusting food related to the series

ben is so funny, really makes the right jokes at the right timing. very quick thinking. can be a standup comedian lol
Guys, we want Chef Bob again~~
And Jon too!
Am I the only one that thinks the most important part of a Nasi Lemak is the rice. Nowadays in Singapore, you can't find the rich taste in nasi lemak.
Yes rice is important, but a good sambal can really make up for a mediocre rice

@@xOvaltinea good sambal with mediocre rice is just spicy rice. Nothing lemak about it.
to me it's both, the rice & the sambal
Hope you guys have a fun time exploring more food places. 😊

I love the Nyonya kuehs, the kuehs are so yummy. 😊
I same wif Ryan, dont like wet rice & the only time when i like my rice is when i'm eating nasi kandar.

The nasi lemak really cmi. Rice is too oily and chicken really tastes like NTUC frozen meat. 1/5 in my opinion
Nyonya nasi lemak sambal is savoury and spicy not sweet
