    He corrected himself in the comments. He meant in North America since Duncan came into the league. Not all time. Since 1997 I should say

    As a huge baseball fan. WAR is a cumulative stat (builds up over time) that aims to tell you how many more wins a team got with you on the court than they would with a 'replacement level' player. It's not a league average player, but someone who can come in and do something. Most replacement level players are career backups. For the NBA it would be like a 10th to 12th man off the bench. While offense is weighted more than defense it's not an average (it's complicated and I'm not doing all that here).
    Really his full WAR would be over 200.

      Timmy was the most composed beast I've ever heard of, read about, or seen on TV. The gentleman giant.

      Well you've certainly got a case. Plus he was such a great leader is what always struck me watching TD. Didn't have to scream and Hollar and intimidate, but he was the leader no question.

    I enjoyed this bro me being a lifetime San Antonio Spurs fan since the 80's, I'll just say this the comparison to the Patriots rubs me wrong because cheating has been associated with them whereas that's not the case with Tim, Pop and the San Antonio Spurs organization but I know what your intentions are. Keep up the good work my man!

    It's refreshing to see someone who knows what they're talking about. I'm getting tired of all the "Lebron fan reacts", "Kobe fan reacts", etc. who never actually watched the game

      Word, I just found this channel recently and he's got me watching videos I've already seen thrice just to get his reaction. Agree one hundred.

    Spurs vs Lakers
    Cheers!

    People don’t want give him his credit but his basketball resume is the best ever if not the second best. He may not have posters but none can match him in winning he was the best of his era just not the guy you seen on highlights.

    • @TheIcemanthomas
      @TheIcemanthomas 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Nah if we are solely looking at resume he’s behind mj, Kareem, and bill Russell. All of them have his resume plus more.

    • @iansimms3568
      @iansimms3568 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Russell is a different level from every one if you don’t put context to when and how the game was played. Mj has had years where he didn’t make the playoffs Kareem always had a superstar to help for Oscar and magic and so on. Tim has never not made the playoffs and never won less then 50 games. He did it against Jordan Kobe Shaq Hakeem kg and the list goes on

      @@iansimms3568 My favorite thing is making fools out of Bron fans with this line... "Tell me why Lebron James is a better player than Tim Duncan... fuck Jordan, Kareem etc... tell me why he's better than Tim Duncan" and they just freeze... "Uh... cause he's better... he's he second best of all time"... and I just answer "yeah, but why??? Duncan has more rings, has had waaaaay less superstars around him and has won one of the 3 hardest rings of all time (2003... the others are 2011 and 1995 Rockets)"... it's so funny seeing them so confused and just go to bullshit stats like "Bron has more points"...
      Bron fanboys are my favorite victims cause they're so clueless about basketball and yet so incredibly loud... they shout and brag all the time and they don't know shit about anything that has to do with the sport... lol
      In all fairness though... Timmy is a top 4 player ever along with MJ, Kareem and Larry Legend... each of them for different reasons are unmatched... Jordan for pure dominance over the whole league, Kareem for being the best player in the league for almost 15 years straight and winning 6 MVPs while being robbed of every other MVP during those years cause he wasn't marketable by the media until Larry Bird reached his peak, Larry out of all the players of all time was the one that was the biggest in the biggest games and moments (most clutch ever) and also thinking that this guy was so fucking good that he was an MVP in 1986 while playing with a half-broken back (not even mentioning the crushed knuckle on his right hand) is just UNREAL and Timmy for being the most consistently great player in the history of the NBA and the greatest WINNER... the guy could just win with just about any teammates around him... he elevated everyone around him and made him look like a natural born champ...

    • @iansimms3568
      @iansimms3568 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@sportschool3537 bird is such a different story Lebron can’t even be talked about in the same sentence. Bird is like mj when comes to the small forward position it’s him then there is everyone else.

    • @sportschool3537
      @sportschool3537 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@iansimms3568 true... every position has one player that is above and beyond everyone else... PG-Magic, SG-MJ, SF-Larry Legend, PF-Tim Duncan and C- Kareem (some say Hakeem was close but they're hugely exaggerating... Kareem was so good in his prime during the 70s that if he wasn't unpopular with the media cause he was reserved and didn't talk to them he would be MVP for 15 years straight)

    I wouldn't have ever thought to include Tim Duncan , but after watching this I was enlightened.

  • @letarivera203
    @letarivera203 ปีที่แล้ว

    I got you Magic and Larry played for the most winningest franchises. Tim as an individual is the most winningest player. He played longer and never missed the playoffs so his win totals are higher. Kobe, MJ, Bird, Magic, LBJ as players all had shorter carrers or stretches where they had losing records or misses the playoffs. Draging down the win totals even though they were winning titles.

    Reminder. Shaq was dominant right when he came to the league he did peak out in the 3pete run but was still productive enough to help wade in 06. He was drafted in 92. He dominated for along time
