Oh no haha we didn’t have Starbucks, we just go in to check the prices and come right out 😅 We had so much great coffee in Sweden and I can reassure you none was from Starbucks 😁
Feels like you missed Skärgården, outside of both Stockholm and Gothenburg, is even more amazing than Lappland. I can recomend the simple short trip is take a boat to Vaxholm and then take the SL buss back. You can use the collective card for both, with maybe small fee for the boat.
I went to Sweden for the first time last month. Stockholm seems like a great place. I will go back next yeat for longer. I want to see Gotgenburg also.
Yes we’ve heard a lot about Gothenburg, it’s supposed to be a cool place as well. I think that’s going to be the next city we visit when we go back to Sweden ❤️
Gothenburg is sooo much better. Though, i might just be bias 😉😂. While here i would recommend a day trip out to the archepelago outside of the city. There you'll also get a glimpse of what our beautiful west coast has to offer, but you doesnt have to drive up north for the big islands. To get there is just 1 tram ride and one ferry. Ps. All the seafood are from the west coast, so while here, i recommend you'll try it when its fresh. 'Feskekörka' is the place to be 😂
Great video, one tiny thing (and I know you said this as a bit of a joke but just for your information) The Vasa ship sank about 600 years after the Viking era ended ;)
You’re back, I’ve missed your great videos, Maria how funny were you with the Pecan pie 😂😂 your face was tastyvision. Lovely video ladies including the blooper, happy travels
Thank you Christiana 🥰 You're really sweet! We should be back to posting every week or so again ❤️ That pecan pie was HEAVEN! 🤤 I still dream about it some nights haha
@@Henrik_Holst Det är ju bara ett gammalt missförstånd som vid det här laget börjat leda till semantisk glidning. Sådant är inget att respektera! Finns dumheter på svenska också. Jag håller inte tyst om dem heller.
Always fun seeing a review of the place you live, and watching you visit some of the places we frequent too, The Vasa is fantastic, i have been there almos al my life in different stages, from school taking us there as well as my mother and father and now going there with my own kids. "Mälarpaviljongen" was a favorite cafe of my Grandmother who lived just on the other side of the street from the waterside. Cool to see you go there :) Glad you enjoyed Stockholm. Regards Martin.
It would not surprise me if the Starbucks was cheaper than expected because Starbucks has trouble getting popular in Sweden. It's not that Sweden itself is that much cheaper than Denmark, Starbucks just has much more competition in Sweden.
That actually makes a lot of sense. It was almost half the price than Denmark 😳 we didn’t try any Starbucks Sweden, we had coffee in other places and it was sooo good! Starbucks doesn’t stand a chance 😅
Hello there ladies Maria and Olivia! Good job! I'm always fond of watching such kind of videos. I'm from Almaty, Kazakhstan. It would be cool if you once visit my country and make an informative video. So, welcome to Kazakhstan! Happy moments to both of you!
I hope you enjoyed my hometown :) if you have time see the archipelago next time weather permitting, it is even better islands/archipelago on the West coast outside Göteborg. Norway is way more expense than Denmark (and Sweden) just saying... But if you like the sea and mountains Norway is gorgeous. Very very beautiful (just expensive, espcially eating out).
Hello Girls. It´s nice to see you enjoy the food. I´m especially happy that you eat the Meatballs 100% right. It was meatballs done and served perfectly 👍 You eat by adding a little of everything on your fork. That is how it´s eaten. I seem to have a special interest in meatballs that I didn´t know 🤭🤭I see many vloggers say they want to try real Swedish meatballs and eat them at IKEA or in a fancy restaurant that has ruined the dish....It was a good vlog, thank you for sharing ❤
I should buy a white shirt like the one the lovely Olivia is wearing😍😍😍 i like your style.. hhehe.. . thank you for the new history ... 😘😘😘you both are amazing. .Stay healthy guys. .🙏🙏
It's not as expensive right now because Swedish Krona has taken a huuuge hit last 1-2 years. We should be more on par with Denmark and Norway. Btw it's illegal to fly drones in stockholm, it's all airport restricted airspace...
I hope you can make it Sweden some day soon! It’s incredible 😍 The grand total was $2447 for 7 days. This includes everything: accommodations $638, transportation $381, flights from Greece for 2 ppl $569, spending while in Sweden for food, entertainment, other transportation expenses $860).
Calling that liquorice is honestly an insult to liquorice. Liquorice is made from the actual *liquorice root* and has its own very distinct flavour. That right there is just some raspberry candy.
I saw a quick shot from Norrmalmstorg. That's where the bank is, where the Stockholm syndrome got its name after the hostage situation in Aug-Sept something in 1973. The movie "Stockholm" with Ethan Hawke is based on these events.
Swedish krona is at a historical low (to USD, EUR, DKK etc) so for once, tourists can actually get by. The reason is not very understood since our economy is better than most of EU and DK 🤨
Cost of living in Stockholm is very high. Everything is more expensive. I moved to Stockholm from Göteborg and i get like 1500 dollars more in salary every month but its no difference because of high prices :D Only con is when you travel to other countries :)
Good travel video but it would be nice if you could respect local drone rules. You are flying over and over again in heavily restricted areas. Reckless. A bit of research in advance would be nice.
Actually, you can get there in about 30 minutes by foot. Of course Skansen is called a museum, it’s exactly what it is. In fact, the oldest open air museum in the world. Världens äldsta friluftsmuseum. Now you know :)
The red candy you ate probably weren´t liquorice, but a regular candy stick. Most liquorice is black and tastes like licking the Vasa Ship - black tar and sulfur. (No, im swedish, but i don´t like liquorice! )
It's like looking at Androids using the internet where humans used to use their brains. Imagine living a life where randoms decide what you do n a daila basis.
I'm not a big fan of Stockholm apart of the old city Island, Gamla Stan. I would love to visit Stockholm though, but only for the ABBA museum. There might also be a few LGBTQIA+ places i'd like to explore too. Norway tradionally is the most expensive country out of the 3, and Denmark the cheapest. This seems to have changed.
Stockholm is such a big city it has something for everyone 😁 I definitely agree, Gamla Stan is really pretty 😍 I bet Stockholm has some pretty cool LGBTQIA+ spots. I think Denmark has surpassed Sweden's cost of living. When we were there last winter, we definitely felt it more in our pockets haha 😅
The Swedish krona is at an all time low, mostly because of the pandemic, then the war in Ukraine, then the electric/gas prices being through the roof, and then the food starting to get more expensive as well. We’re usually more expensive than Denmark yes, but we’ve taken a huge hit economically with everything the last 2 years so the danish krona is more stable I guess.
Watch out for grenades. Also, why do foreigners always say something about 'fika culture' or some such. Fika is just a coffee break. That's it. You take a break. Have some coffee or not. It's in the law that you have to have breaks during work.
Stockholm may be good for a tourist on a short stay but spend any time there and you will soon experience the suppressed nature, and superficial culture all underpinned by xenophobic, dare I even say racist attitudes and practices. Bottom of my list out of almost 90 cities in 33 countries!
Where ever u go on Sweden videos, there are one of u there. So caught up in your view of the world u cant see anything positive. You SD voters are destroying this country. Toxic nationlism
Stockholm is after Malmö worse city to visit or go to in Sweden for sure. Theres no much Swedish left in these cities. Göteborg only good city in whole country!
5 to 8 Euro/50-80sek.. for coffe.. (I am a swede and ofc a coffelover) but the prices for mediocre coffe at brands are stupid... The free/included drippy-coffe at your average diner (Sybilla, Solna Korv, Days) AKA Swe-fastfood. is the best cup you'll ever have!
Glad to hear you liked the Vasa museum. And thanks for the positive review! Cheers! Lars, Director General

5:20 "Swedish fish" contains no licorice... not a single ppm :)
(Except for the black ones, of course, if they exist in the US?)
De kallar remmar för licorice där borta i USA, de menar inte lakrits.

It is not true at all that Ikea's meatballs are bad - considering the price you pay for them they are quite good.

Locals prefer domestic chains like Bröd & Salt or Espresso House to Starbucks. At least I do.
