hey man. I know this was posted 2 years ago but i've got 2 questions if you happen to see this: 1) How did the bike handle fast speeds (60+mph)? 2) what would you say about fuel efficiency? any good?
Hey bro, the bike handled flawlessly at higher speeds that bigger than most 125’s rear meaty tyre really keeps you planted when attempting motorway speeds. Being a 125 fuel efficiency was also amazing.
@@GHØ3T97 I passed my test on that Bike early 1960's. I was going to go for the test on my Airial Arrow 250cc 2 stroke twin but the bugger would not start that day so I took the Bantam.👍 By the way the £13 I paid for the Bantam..I was on "£3 ten shillings " a WEEK at the time not an hour.😄😄

Congrats on the purchase. That specific one would charge the battery fully from dead about twice. I have an actual wireless quadlock charger on my ninja now, much better solution. Thanks for watching
great video mate, im getting an lxs in a few days and im really hoping it goes great with no issues or anything, also i want to record myself driving around and talking aswell, what cam and mic do you use? if you dont mind brother
Great video mate. What year is this bike and how reliable are they. I’ve been looking into one but seen people had electrical issues, and fault as they’re Chinese but don’t know what to believe. Also what should I be expecting to pay for one of these. Cheers.
I can only speak from my own experience. As my first true motorcycle the lxr was everything i ever wanted in a 125 and more. She has the looks, she's a smooth ride and with a good exhaust on people couldn't tell her apart from a 300cc bike. Only major gripe i had with the lxr is that she accelerates poorly compared to other 125 motorcycles. In terms of reliability I had the screw for the gear lever come loose once on my way to work and that was the only issue I've had with the lxr which I didn't cause myself. Mine is the 2020 euro 4 version. The newer euro 5 ones suffer from a cutting out issue which is caused by a poor placement of the sparkplug. Never had this issue on mine. Hope this helps.
Me and my mate have one love em. Cpl issues are rear sprockets can be out off line as not tight fit and causes chain to tighten and slacken fixable tho. Rain affects plug so I would get a quality cap or really seal all electrics. But we love em tbh
Late comment but last weekend I did london to Luton then next day Luton to london on a moped Honda sh 125 2008 it was really nice just down the A roads but took me 1hr 40 mins sadly but I’m passionate about riding and will soon get the geared bikes any tips for switching to a manual what to expect?
Great question man! It helps that you have some riding experience! If you have any manual car experience that would help even more in understanding how the transmission works. I’d say the hardest thing if you have no idea how the transmission works would be getting to grips with pulling off without stalling and understanding the biting point and then how the gears work. If, however, you understand the basics of how a transmission works then really i’d say the hardest part is putting it all into practice out on the road. It can be daunting but it really is simple once you wrap your head around it. You can do what I did and get on youtube and watch a bunch of videos on the subject and just go and try it yourself.
What can I say man I was a learner rider back then. Much has been learned since these days. But even then if I’m correct at the situation you’re referencing I did not cut anyone up? Yes I was filtering but I’m on a major road and the car you say I cut up was on a minor road, I’m pretty confident in this situation I still have right of way, albeit I probably should’ve been more vigilant in my observations.
What's good bro. Insurance is a tricky one. It's never the same for any two people. It's based on different factors like where you live, your age and what job you have. Because of those factors (mainly where i live and the crime rate for bikes here) my insurance started over £1600 for my first year. Now it's down to 1200. I'm hoping when i renew in january it'll be less than 800. Thanks for watching - Ghost

That’s the euro 5 model the spark plugs are exposed so when it rains the bike shuts off. The euro 4 (my model) doesn’t suffer from this same problem as the spark plug is concealed

Not a bad little place
Really enjoyed your video man! I've been thinking of buying one of these. I'm definitely getting one now
Glad you enjoyed, you won’t regret buying one 😅
Hi, nice video. I was wondering how comfortable the bike is? I've read that the suspension is a bit stiff
Suspension isn't too bad, it's a sport bike so it's bound to be a bit on the stiff side but nothing that ever bothered me
Years ago I did Wigan to Harlech and back on a BSA Bantam.😄
It was second hand, I paid £13 for it helmet, jacket and goggles thrown in.👍.
Definitely sounds like a ride you’ll remember for life 😅
