We actually need a couple of key things that are missing from our office SLASH guest bedroom. So, I am going to make some projects today for this room using only IKEA items. There are a few problem areas I want to address and these affordable DIY ideas are going to help cozy up this room!

I love the curtains and think I'd try to find a moss green felt for the curvy feature! I thought you might possibly put a small piece of wood from your scrap stash to reinforce the back of the clothes/bag hanger. I worry how much those hooks will hold without a sturdier piece of wood behind them. Love your channel, you and Brian are such a cute couple!

So creative! The curtains are the most likely project for me to try, then the wall hooks. I feel I would make a mess painting the lamp. Great video.
Love the hanger. ☺️ But I think I would have put a thin piece of wood at the back for support, and used 2 of the wicker knobs and 3 of the hangers you used. So starting with a hanger, then a knob, hanger and so on. And of course painted the edges of the knobs black.
Yes! Another awesome idea! The back, behind the wicker, ( for additional strength) could even be a contrasting color.

Once I saw your hooks on the wall, I thought you could do this project as a jewelry organizer too, using your small hooks. It would look beautiful with a row at the top for bracelets etc and more hooks for necklaces etc.

Wow Tina, I am wishing you a belated birthday. I love that lamp that you got at IKEA, i am a purple lady so I might change mine to a purple looking lamp. The hanging rack love the black trim but I would add more hooks to bottom or just do double hooks and mixed up the hardware with black & Gold hooks. The windows curtains I will do an golden trim. And the lamp get green and paint the black on the outside and Gold in the inside

Is the rattan coathanger sturdy enough? It surprused me you didn't add some wood on the back. I think the hooks can't lift much and will be teared out
Scalloped trim would officially be “ric rac” and it is sold in every store that sells sewing supplies. However I don’t know if it comes as wide as your example
Yeah, that's what it looks like, giant ric rac. But I do really like it even tho I don't like regular ric rac!
May I suggest that no one attempt the hooks for the wall without a few changes, modifications. Screwing the hooks into the weaving does not provide enough support to hold anything of weight. Suggestion - show us a way to create support on the back maybe?
totally agree! what i would probably do is create a wooden support in the back - either a kind of bar that all the screws screw into or, since the rattan is see-through, maybe a sheet of plywood in the same shape as the tray. either way, what you could then do is first screw the wooden support into the wall and then drill the screws into the support :)

It is so weird, that fast fashion like Shein is a no go, but fast furnitures aren't (in Europe more). Ikea is not ethical at all: The founder was a Nazi, there were many scandals regarding child labour. Ikea illegally clearing primeval forest in Siberia and very often did not follow Animal protection laws (e.g. down duvets). And there is no equality between men and women in leadership positions. It is sad to see influencers shipping Ikea so much. In Germany it is the opposite of "cool " to have Ikea furniture and that is the reason why. Ikea is like Shein.
