After digging some foam out if the way I decided to try the stop leak product you suggested. Should be here before noon tomorrow from Amazon.
Update, I did 2 applications and saw a dramatic reduction so I went for a third. The solution was very thick so I realized I didn't shake it up. I still had a little drip so I ordered a second bottle. This time I shook it very well and poured in about 1/3 of the 32 oz bottle. I ran the pump and jets about 30 minutes and turned off the breaker for 2 days. No more leaks! This stuff is awesome.

Thank you so much for recommending fix a leak
I had a slow leak around the base of the hot tub did not want to turn it over and start breaking apart and digging into the spray foam
Took your recommendation, ordered the fix leak on Amazon ,
Poured it in ran the jets for one hour let it sit for 24 hours. Looks like the leak is now gone. !!!
    Thank you !!!

Epoxy Puddy does not fix cracked pipes. The only way to fix cracked pipes, is to cut out the damaged plumbing, don't waste your time on Epoxy or the Black Spray sealers, they will not work. Fix A Leak will Not fix cracked pipes, you have to find the cracked item, cut out and replace. Fix A Leak can work on a failing Glue Joint or Bad Gasket etc. Not Cracked Pipes or Jets or cracked spas. Fix A Leak must run 72 hours, one day is Not long enough, the product needs to cure. You do Not want to swim in Fix A Leak, you must empty the spa fully and wipe the spa clean. A great product, that will work on certain types of leaks. I have used Fix A Leak, hundreds of times over tge last 30 years, its always on my truck.

You can fix leaking pipe joints using the pvc cleaner/thinner and pvc adhesive method - 1 lower water or empty the tub - 2 tape over adjacent jets or jam foam plugs to resist air flow(I have a bunch of oversized spongy foam plugs on hand in my repair kit) - 3 attach a vacuum (shop vac) to an open jet causing negative pressure inside the pipe - 4 apply liberal amount PVC thinner/cleaner then PVC pipe adhesive - thinner-glue-thinner-glue….
Do that 2 or 3 times then shut off the vacuum and wait about 30 minutes before filling and testing the repair. It is repeatable if still leaking and eventually It works!! I’ve fixed dozens of pipe joint leaks this way.

This sounds like a great idea. I'm thinking the shop vac might be crying for mercy though!

Thank you for your video. I have a suggestion about the title. I know you’re covering more issues than simply using the fix a leak product but for those of us searching videos using this product, it would be so helpful to have it mentioned in the title of your video. Fortunately, your video did pop up when I typed in fix-a-leak but I wasn’t sure at all that you were going to even be using it. Thanks again for your information.

Thanks. Learning about leak on roto molded hot tubs because the 5 yr old one here has a leak at one drop per second, as I try to catch it with a drip pad and a few large bowls. The more video's I watch the closer I am to thinking I can attempt to fix it myself because service here in Canada, on the smallest province, Prince Edward Island, is not prompt. Stay safe, from East Canada.

Do we really not need to drain the water before we use it again? The instructions say that you have to drain the tub for a listed duration to have it cure... I would rather not drain if I don't have too but this fix a leak fixed mine I think!!!

First, what an awesome, helpful video! We are in the middle of a rural Minnesota winter, and yes, discovered we had a leak. Panic sets in!
Taking your favored product, we purchased, applied (after removing the filters) and it appears to have stopped the leak.
My follow up to this is what appears to be a residual problem. We put new filters back in, ran them for a couple days, put in new filters, and were still getting residual "sludge and now only getting 1st stage filter setting, and set temp not maintaining. Pulled filters again and are rinsing, but still getting sludge. Ordered another new set. So until then...is this normal?
Any suggestions, aside from keep cleaning/replacing filters? Do you think it could have effected the heater?? Any help is greatly appreciated!

      Hi Viki
Leaks are tricky as it's sometimes hard to know exactly where they are coming from. As long as you don't think it's from a cracked PVC pipe, I would start by trying Marlig's Fix-A-Leak (on Amazon - amzn.to/3eBbxnl).
It's a liquid you just pour in where the filter(s) sit. Take the filter(s) out and just start by pouring in about 8-12 oz (I eyeball it) with the jets running.
Maybe use tape or a dry erase marker to note the water level so you can easily tell if it drops. Then check it in 25 hours and see if it's still leaking.
Fix-A-Leak works great on leaks up to 1/8 of an inch, so it won't fix a cracked pipe, but it's great for smaller leaks, particularly those around fittings or jets. I've used it many times and had it work 3 out of 4 times.
And you don't need to drain the tub once done. Just put the filters back in. If the leak is still there, but has slowed, you can also repeat the process. But if it doesn't seem like it helped at all, then you probably have a bigger issue like a cracked pipe.
But if the pipe can't easily be cut out and replaced, JB Water Weld putty (on Amazon - amzn.to/38xF39S) works great and can go right onto wet surfaces.
      Good luck!
