- This is a brief but informative video that covers all of Leo's parries (2+3, u/b+1, b+1+3 and b+1+2) tackling every bit of information I could find and putting it all together in a short 5 minute video. Below is a detailed description on how I determined the start-up and active frames for each parry.
Start-up Frames:
As demonstrated in the video, if Leo is at -8, you can parry the fastest option from an opponent which is 10f. If, for example, you're at -9 and you only have 1 frame available, if the opponent goes for a 10f jab you will get hit. That's one of the reasons why I stated at -6 (4 frames available), you can take risks with b+1+2 (which requires a 6f start-up) if you believe your opponent will go for something slow starting at 12f.
Active Frames:
The reason I decided to leave frame data displayed was to showcase the frames available and how the parry remains active. As you can see from one example, Leo is at -4 and is able to use u/b+1 against a 14f high. It has a 2 frame start-up and we know this because as demonstrated, at -8, you can parry a 10f jab. So, how do we find how many active frames a parry has? You can do simple math to find out. If you're at -4 (+6 frames available) and your opponent goes for a 14f high (+4), that's 10 frames total. Subtract 2 frames you need for the start-up and you're left with 8 frames. Thus, this parry still works up to 8 frames on the condition that your opponent goes for a high.

I use Leo's parries so much. They are risky but you can bait your opponents next move when using them. Another reason why leo is so great

Ah finally. Been playing this char all season and never understood the differences btwn her parries. It's also funny that all of these pale in comparison to Leroy's 2f startup 17f (or whatever ridiculous amt) active parry lol

It would've been nice if they made u/b+1 the same damage as Josie's punch parry or a launch with a different input, perhaps.

I don't stream. It's rare that I play more than 8 hours a week but I'm trying to get more games. Usually, when someone sends me a request when I'm playing online, I will have a few games. :)
Its kind of too much to ask but I kinda wish db1+2 and knk 1+2 sabaki parried as well. I just think it makes sense for the animation of the moves
At least they could've made KNK 1+2 high crush. It's so slow and it's rare that anyone challenges KNK very late 😁.
