22:00 this is, as the other changes, IMPORTANT in the change of anti squat/- dive: Both, front and rear changes will have an impact on the ability to role over and climb and giving traction. Changing JUST the lower will LOWER anti squat. If you RAISE the UPPER you will bring anti squat back to where it was before, kind of. If I am correct this will increase traction, "the bite of the tire into the ground" but lower the ability to climb over a rock: You cannot have BOTH. There are a LOT of things effecting each other - ALL matter.
Burto is the 3rd wheel in this awesome production - a great positive…. Cannot wait to see the next trip with Tyler and family and Uncle Berto in his monster Crawler Nee-san
Awesome work guys, good to see Burto's truck getting some love! Ya def need a decent 1/2" breaker bar though, every decent mechanic must have, hasn't Tyler sorted ya out a tool sponsor yet, next item on the list TT. nice work with the flex ramp build boys too 🤘
Wow, what a Beast 😮, this thing will go anywhere! I really think you should get a hoist, i bought one about 5 years ago, and it's used MOST weekends, i absolutely 💯 Love it. Maybe a Sponsor might supply you with one 😊😊😊
I've known for a while now that i need a suspension replacement / upgrade, Tuesday i got told the gearbox needs to come out. The hits just keeps coming, and I'm all out of steam.... That's some crazy upgrades 😎🤙👍
Great content boys will someone give Tyler and Burto a hoist please that's tuff doing all that work on the groud surely there is a potential sponsor out there for a HOIST 😂😂
To make up for you lack of flex/lift(3 vs 4) Tyler upgrade your tyres to a more aggressive tyre like a 35x12.50r17 Mickey Thompson Baja Boss MT, 315/75r16 Nitto Mud Grappler(888mm or about 5mm taller than your RAZR MT), 35×12.50r17 Yokohama GEOLANDAR G005 X-MT or 35x12.50r17 Kenda Klever MT2(might be good opportunity for a sponsor as they are trying to make inroads in the Australian market as they aren't as well established yet).
Definitely notch the gearbox crossmember as the tailshaft would have been touching when you reversed up the travel ramp. I know that from experience lol
Awesome work gents! Could you just clarify for me please… before we all rush out and spend $10000 on superior gear for our Patrols, what you guys have done there is for rock crawling, ruts etc if the goal was for towing a caravan and or touring etc the suspension setup would be quite different? And how would your GQ’s perform towing a 2 to 3 tonne caravan? Would you create different rigs for the touring/ towing aspect of your lifestyle? Keep up the good work always enjoy your vids
was Burtos gq engineered for 4 inch lift and 35s ? here in SA we can't even have 2 inch and 33s, maximum 50mm lift overall.... love the 5 link front end, and hes twin locked... whoo-hoo !! and Burto is hilarious !!
why do you think i want to go to america.. & have had a dodge challenger, 340 r/t, sitting in the shed for 13 yrs.. cos of the fkn stupid laws in this fkn backwards state.. could,nt reg it as it was the wrong green.. dark met. to sublime, like slr5000.. done in u.s. its fkn paint..
ANOTHER AWESOME episode guys...together with the maccas breakfast for our Sunday entertainment... 1) About bloody time 'The Wingman' Shauno turned back up...as it seemed as something/someone was actually missing in the vids where Berdo didn't have his offsider mechanic Shauno there, so is great to see all of the crew all back together in the workshop. 2) I thought Berdos green machine was called.. 'Kermit' ?? 😅 3) Just so yourself and SUPERIOR engineering are aware that after watching this episode, and seeing all the other previous episodes with the Superior Engineering equipment fitted on Tyler's cars, four of the mates here atm, plus one of their old mans, (and myself) have just decided that we all will be definitely making contact with SUPERIOR in the near future to purchase this same and extra gear for our GQ and GU Patrols. As one of the mates recently said, Superior Engineering are known to be on par with the best gear in the world where in some other countries 4x4ers ONLY want Superior products and pay extra shipping fees and don't care of price.. As a prime example of this is, a mate who is a very well known celebrity (where due to my work I become friends with many) he is a member of several major 4x4 clubs around the world, ATM he's doing offroad touring/filming with the largest Malaysian 4x4 club where last night around 60 members.had a bbq and watched your videos in their club house, NOW ALL are asking him where can they buy.. 😊 TT, as a thought, get in contact and ask Superior if you can have a TT 10% discount code that can be applied for TT viewer discounts...this being beneficial for both you as discounts for subscribers and Superior in product sales... Let me know when your in WA territory.. Cheers 👍 Frank P.S. - TT, is possible on the side of the metal rig you have for testing flex, are you able to quickly sticker/paint number each one of the steps cross bars going up ramp from floor up and write it on the side of the rig next to each bar so viewers can have a scale to view which number each vehicle went up it? Just another thought.👍
hi great video! I have a 4" riser on my gq short, for the moment I have drop boxes with original arms and I am hesitant to switch to front arms like you on a "powerflex" ball joint? Or arms has fixation like the origin but in France we have no feedback on it, could you tell me the negative or positive for each arm?
Just a dumb question, would we need to change the angle of the panard rod and drag link. I own a gq and was wondering how strong those mount points on the chassis are? I've heard at big angles they break. I can see why, so is there a modification to straighten the angle. Great content
in america, anything over 3'', you get all the drop rods, brkt, ect.. here, your lucky to get extended, s/s, brake lines, as they were illegal to use.. & 4x4 places never touch brake lines..watch u.s.vids.. you learn more,,of the sht we put up with..
Can you talk about the legalities of this new setup? Does It need to be engineered with the new suspension and 35s. Is it the same procedure to have it engineered as you did with the Gu.
burto on the tt channel - best move ever. well deservered mod after putting up with that slave driving team of tt and the d lady :). oh and seano is definitively a bit special...
how the fk,,is the diff going to pivot,,if its bolted front & rear of the diff.???... it cant.. you only need a 3 link.. & pins to the chassis, to it can rotate,,which that set up cant..
I’m really looking forward to you driving with your Dad, Demi, Kai and the family again, because honestly, the build videos are getting really boring. Sorry bud.

Car's definitely are a massive pain in the ass at times!
hey mate, try some foam bunnings mats under the flex ramp to help with it sliding on the floor, works a treat with our ramps in our shed.. cheers..

Wow great vid…is it now known as the Burto fab channel.
Is Shaun’s Knick name blister?

Love Burto!!!
Your creating a legend, he’s great value on trips or on the spanner’s - Burto’s banter is brilliant 🤩
Awesome stuff guys... That's a heap of travel 😊
That flex ramp, maybe you should screw some conveyor belt to the bottom of it . Bit dangerous I’ve seen ramps fly across workshops

Andy, go have a look at sidetracked Australia. They got their GU engineered with 35’s and a 3-4” lift I believe. In SA
@@Dale_D589 yeahI'm sure they did, with engineering you can get that, but without you can only have 50mm total lift so no 2 inch and 33s....

Cool Ep and work. The old girl needs spraying up with rust proofing TecTyl 506 works great
WHAT WHEELS ARE THOSE? badass
did they supply h/d water proof grease, for all the parts..
When burto first hit the flex ramp with the new kit in you can see Tyler’s face saying he’s made a terrible life decision putting it in burtos truck
Very interesting
That works👍👍
How good is burto! Hahaha

Burto n Shauno, classic. TT u have gud people round u. i forgot Timmy, sorry mate.
What paint do you use for chassis touch ups?

Yeah same procedure as the GU mate
What's the 5 link like driving on the highway fully loaded? How's the handling in the corners?
it’s pretty boaty without swaybar obviously but if you have swaybar + adjustable shocks its fuckin awesome
burto on the tt channel - best move ever. well deservered mod after putting up with that slave driving team of tt and the d lady :). oh and seano is definitively a bit special...
Anyone know what wheels he got?
Every workshop needs a Berto and real men don't need deconstructions !!
8.8 grade bolts are a grade 2, 9.8 is grade 5 , 10.9 is grade 8, 12.8 is grade 9 just saying😉
💪🛠️
your supposed to clean & paint all the surfaces.. slack.. so the rust, doesnt transfer to the new matal.. but,,i suppose you can afford it..
Luckily viewers of this video have subtitles for those who do not speak 'straian.
Chineseium 😂 ❤
fck burto cracks me up..
Are you guys ever worried about driving a nut on with an impact driver that does 800+ Nm, instead of torquing it to its likely spec nearer 100 Nm? 🤔
Bumm Bumm.... its only $$
dont need w/align,,you,ve moved nothing, just replaced..
how the fk,,is the diff going to pivot,,if its bolted front & rear of the diff.???... it cant.. you only need a 3 link.. & pins to the chassis, to it can rotate,,which that set up cant..
Do abit more research before embarrassing yourself
