Saga continues. To WDT or Blind Shake? Spring lever espresso machine with Timemore Sculptor 078S

Today's test is a continuation of yesterday's experiment with different puck preparation methods.
Yesterday I did
1) Nothing, grind direct into portafilter and auto tamper
2) 3D printed WDT tool
3) Spinning WDT tool
4) Blind shaker
Today, I tried 2 different ways
1) Spinning WDT
2) Blind shaker
The result is even more drastic compared to yesterday's test, and the same coffee doesn't even taste similar to each other.
I did not really believe in Blind Shaker as a tool to improve the quality of the espresso, but now I am seriously very impressed by it and I would want to find out the scientific reason behind this.

Hi CY, I found out that the design of the sculptor dosing cup promotes channeling at the outside ring of the basket. Like seen in this video. It is because the dosing cup is too small in diameter and has thick walls. This leads to a concentration in the middle of the basket that can hardly be solved with WDT.

Thanks for the update! Now I dose direct into a.blind shaker and transfer to the portafilter after that. It solve all the issue with channelling.

Did you change the 078s to black? I remember seeing the unboxing was white. Btw which one would you recommend between df64 and sculptor 078s?
