Some years ago, somebody tried to convince me that there was a mythical island across the Atlantic which was the ancestral home of the Irish. The delusion was elaborate and somebody had come up with fake histories, geographies and myths. It was stoutly maintained that this island was called Ireland it some people believed the fantasy and fell for the gag.
Not me. I know that the Irish come from Boston. I've been there.

In my family if I ever raised my voice against my mom my dad would do the same thing but instead of my mom cleaning it, I would be the one cleaning the milk he threw at me for the disrespect. I still believe that a lot of parents are too soft on their children nowadays, letting them get away with so many things that turned them into self centered unempathizing brutes.

My parents were born in Jamaica 🇯🇲, and they emigrated to the US before my brother and I were born. My mother's mother came shortly after them, and did the bulk of the cooking and child rearing. Once when I was young, they tried to feed me liver and onions, but I couldn't get it past my throat (the texture was yucky). My Dad tried the "What you don't eat for dinner....." threat. After I had sat at the table not eating for over 2hours that night, my Grandmother pled my case, and my Dad said that I'd eat dinner for breakfast because we don't waste food in our family. I said to my Dad, when I was all of 7yrs old, "There is nothing you can do to make me eat this, because it doesn't taste or feel right in my mouth. So, I'll never eat this." And I never had too because I'm my Father's daughter, and he knew I was serious. I still can't smell or even see liver and onions to this day without feeling a bit nauseated🤮

He is on the more "darker, edgy" side but a different style than someone like Anthony Jeselnik. He's great. "Remember when I used to give a sh*t/Killer Closer", "Chemicals" or "Nationalism" are good starter ones. "Mother and the possibility of an afterlife" and "60 inches of aids on any given Sunday" for the blackbelt level Stanhope. While I stand either holding, passing tools or shoveling cement, as a WW2 Army vet he would lecture me on the good, the bad & the ugly things I’ll see in my life & how to prevented those while earning respect!!! My mom was the Drill sergeant at 6:00 am in the morning chores before going to school! She constantly made us schedule on laundry, cleaning the house and throwing out garbage before 8:00 pm bedtime?!? Oh ohh, God forbid you miss a chore, or not eat your dinner, or miss bed time or late for school!?! She’ll give us the worst beating of our lives, but we learned to never ever cross her!!! As a child I thought she was a demon… Sorry Mah, RIP!!! Today’s children are causing worst choices in their lives. If there’s no discipline or respect, there is no order but chaos… Bill Burr reminds of me a lot growing up in NYC… He’s telling the truth!!!

Wait did he just ask "How much humor in Boston is based off of Ireland"? Is he joking? LMAO! Does he not know you can't get anymore Irish unless you actually go to Ireland. ROFL! I'm shocked he actually said that. Instead of Boston it's real name is New Ireland.

Mine was the opposite, I was more afraid of dad because he was a phycopath he meant the real deal, atleast my mom would try to understand, literally how I learned to potty train was, every time I messed on my myself my dad would beat my ass and say I'm a loser if I don't quit having a accident lmao, I personally don't believe you have raise a daughter and son the same it's perfectly fine 2 different types of people

I think he gets away with saying what he thinks because he's honest, doesn't give a sh*t and because he's so unapologetic that there's nothing anyone can do to guilt him into an apology. Plus he doesn't care about getting cancelled. He also openly admits he doesn't read

I’m a child of frequent abuse from my father. I went on to have two girls. They’ve both been swatted on the butt plenty with a good ol spank on the last one for good measure. I also have a pretty good deep, added bass, loud Dad voice. Everyone says my kids are angels. Hmm, wonder why? If your children don’t fear you from an early age, good luck with the bigger issues during adolescence. Better to prove it early than have to go twice as hard and cause trauma later. Just my take.
