Thanks for this informative video. I have a question why does the page orientation changes and text moves to next page when we upload our ebook in kindle
Definitely works fine getting a PDF onto the Kindle but I find the text on the Kindle is then quite small and I cannot alter this as I can with a book bought from Amazon or similar. So it seems to me that you get the text onto the Kindle but lose a lot of the Kindle functionality that one becomes used to having. Almost seems to make the Kindle a simple “PDF Viewer”. Am I doing something wrong or is this the way it is?
Hey Quentin, I believe it depends on pdf. If you pdf is made of images then there's no way to do any formatting after file conversion. If it's a normal text I believe converting it to Mobi would give you much better results.
@@howtotechstuff Hi, thanks for the reply. The PDF I tried it with was generated from a Google Document, saved as a PDF. The document was text only with no images, no formatting, no lists, tables or anything, just pure text. Still no ability to change text size once on the Kindle, or any other features. NOT THAT SIMPLE... Are truly PDFs the best option to transfer to Calibre? As far as I understand, PDFs creates lots of problems and errors in the transfer later on. What are read (and from personal experience) is: "Calibre doesn't support the conversion of image-rich PDF documents. You will also not be able to convert a PDF document that has a lot of vector images and tables. Any HTML links and Table of Contents within the PDF document will not be converted".
it's very helpful thank you so much. but I had another problem which is, I can't transfer PDF form Ebook in my own language into Mobi. What should i do for this? Hope you can see this question and can help me. thank you.

hey! you can make a new folder with any name, doesn't matter! your kindle will recognise it as long as the mobi/epub/azw3 book is there. I also delete the PDF file that comes in the folder that is generated when we save the new calibre file to export it to the kindle so it doesn't bug as well
I kinda feel fucked. Got a Kobo Libra H20. Love the thing. Got pretty lucky with the screen but the backplate has 1mm play or so and it drives me crazy. So I called the online shop I bought it at and they sent me a new one the next day. This was clearly a returned device. The screen was super uneven, much darker and had a green hue, the buttons were mushy. So I called them again and they sent me another one. Now I have 3 of them (2 need to be returned) the new one has a pretty good screen at first sight. The backplate also seemed fine. The buttons were nice and clicky as they should be. But then I noticed one of the corners of the backplate. Specifically where I hold it is slightly lose so when I grab it I notice it and it makes a creeking sound. Then I compared the screens and noticed my original one just had a superior screen. It's not as bad as the first replacement. The screen is relatively even but it is 5/10% less bright or so and has a slight green / yellow tint while my original is white as paper. Fuck it's so I actually usually put the night mode on 20/30% even when it's not night. The last one they sent was new at least the box had the seal / sticker on the box. But now I'm really pissed. Do I ask for anytoher one. Will they even send a third device, I mean even the second replacement was kinda unusual lol for them. But to be fair they were really helpful and responsive. Figured I might ask them for a oasis instead but of course they don't sell that since they are Amazon's competitor where I live and they have a partnership with Kobo.. Or maybe I thought I'd ask my money back and get a kindle oasis. But I've also read screen evenness issues with the oasis. Also that it has horrible battery life according to amazon reviews. But then I realised I can't even do that unless I am willing to pay 350 euro for the most expensive version since the 230 euro isn't in stock and says "usually sent in one to two months" (LOL GTFO AMAZON) I went with kobo because it supports epub and I thought there was no way to put ebooks you download on kindle. Apparently it just works the same with calibre. I usually convert all my files to Kepub for kobo so I guess it's just the same with amazon only converting files to Mobi or the other kindle format first. The oasis also has a beautiful metal body and stuff compared to the cheapish plastic body of the kobo. But the oasis comes with fucking ads lol.. Idk what to do. I actually love my original kobo kibre h20 but the backplate having play (I can move it less 1mm or so to left and right) means it likely isn't water proof as it should be. The first replacement is pure crap. And older batch with mushy buttons and a terrible screen. The last one has a decent screen but it's less bright the colour is off. Which also strangely makes it look less sharp on top of that it also has a backplate issue. The backplate doesn't move left right etc like the other. But it seems to be slightly raised on one corner and has a little play there. I'll call them tomorrow. Not looking forward to the third fucking time. And for all I know they'll send me another one that was returned etc before. Or they'll send me another new one and this time the screen will be very uneven or some shit. Fuck my luck
That was outstanding. I have gone crazy about how to format my ebook to send to kindle. Thank you.

It doesn't work. It takes all the images from each page off the pdf and chops it up, and puts it on different pages, it is a total mess!
I want to transfer from Kindle to Voice Dream. Anyone know how?
Thanks for the video. The explication is the best that in other videos taking the same.
thank you, brother🧡🧡

I converted all my books to mobi, no book kept the images that were inside the pages
Sure you didn't accidentally remove the images or mess with the conversion? I've converted mobi to epub and kepup and it keeps the Images. Never converted epub to mobi though since my device is a kobo

Any HTML links and Table of Contents within the PDF document will not be converted".
i dont have the kindle reader i only have the app in my lpatop so how i can trasfer mmy books from calibre to kindle? thanks
it's very helpful thank you so much. but I had another problem which is, I can't transfer PDF form Ebook in my own language into Mobi. What should i do for this? Hope you can see this question and can help me. thank you.
Hi there. I got a question for you. How can you set up Calibre in order to the output file has a specific format name. In my case I want the output file to have this format: [Author] - [Serie] - [Title].mobi
Thanks in advance!!
can i do it in my IPAD ?
I don't think Calibre is supported on iPad I'm afraid 😟
My "document" folder is not there in kindle file explorer when i commect it to pc by usb.i tried creating a folder with "documents" name,n it said its there already.idk.
help .i hav kindle 10th gen basic one
Hes says to right click and send to device, is English your first language?
hey! you can make a new folder with any name, doesn't matter! your kindle will recognise it as long as the mobi/epub/azw3 book is there.

But then I realised I can't even do that unless I am willing to pay 350 euro for the most expensive version since the 230 euro isn't in stock and says "usually sent in one to two months" (LOL GTFO AMAZON)
I went with kobo because it supports epub and I thought there was no way to put ebooks you download on kindle.
Good video thank you
