    Dope video bro! I totally agree with you. Im testing both of these right now. I love how the Maschine is laid out, I just wish it had a battery and speaker. The MPC Live 2 learning curve aint no joke. Its not crazy hard but it does take some learning. I'm more used to the Maschine and I am biased to their software as well, but the stand alone is just lacks that battery and speaker man.I have a V Mount Battery and a blue tooth speaker but now I'm carrying extra shit. Might as well just use my laptop at that point. I am probably sending it back and keeping my MK3 and MPC for stand alone stuff.

      Thanks bro!! 🙏🏾🙏🏾 If the M+ had a battery and speaker for me it wouldn’t even be a competition. I really like the Workflow of the Maschine. I agree bro, the MPC isn’t hard, I just think Maschine is more straightforward when it comes to creating and cooking up. Yea, to be honest I only use the Plus in the studio and not in standalone mode. If I’m not in the studio I will definitely grab the MPC just to create loops and drum patterns to bring back in the Maschine later on lol. Thanks for your comment bro! 🙏🏾

      @@creativedwill Exactly! I use Ableton more than anything and the MPC exports to Ableton files so its actually easier to plug into my workflow. First and foremost, congratulations on 2K my brother!!! I had the MPC Live/Live 2 initially, and a little over a year ago I fell in love with how my Son was cooking on his MK3, and jumped into the Maschine World with the Plus. I went back to the MPC Live 2 Retro a month ago, strictly because I'm Dawless, and it fits my style. Maschine Plus is a lot of fun, and I won't hate on it, but it's definitely not truly Standalone. Great honest review fam, keep doing your thing! God bless!!🙏🏾✊🏾💚

      Brooo as always thanks for the love and support!!!🙏🏾 Yea, the Maschine is dope when paired with a computer, but for the price point it’s not worth it when it comes to standalone for anyone that is just starting out or like to work strictly standalone. MPC live 2 is a way better option when it comes to standalone. I think for someone like me that just loves the Maschine and the workflow, it’s kinda worth just to have but I rarely use it in standalone mode 😂. As a MPC user since the 60. I’ve used Maschine when it first came out and it was cool. I will say this, if you never used any MPC,the workflow is totally different. But I have a MK3 and Komplete Kontrol 49 that I got for basically for nothing. I tried using the the MK3 and Komplete control but the workflow of those don’t work for me. No MP3 import or export, no real chord progressions, sequencer is iffy compared to the MPC, no audio tracks for editing or recording and etc. But I do love the default efx in Maschine. As far as sounds go, most people who buy MPC’S never brought them for sounds because we sample and it’s a sampler. The MPC had “Auto Sample”for years so it could make its own key groups. I’m not here to bash Maschine because it’s a capable device to make anything with but remember that MPC is what it is and has been for a reason and yeah Maschine has some tight expansion packs but their both samplers so make your own.

    Both are dope machines. When I work in standalone my MPC Live 2 is my go to. And I just got the Force so I’m good on standalone workstations for now. The Maschine plus seems dope too, but if I wanted any software integration for my controllers (which I usually just stay in the box with my samplers) IMHO I’d buy a Push 2 before the Maschine plus. Might purchase a refurbished plus in a few years down the line when the price drops by $500 bucks lol. What a fascinating time to be in as a beatmaker.

    It’s dope that NI keeps all your purchases together and it’s easy to install and reinstall. Otoh, Akai doesn’t protect their expansions, they don’t use serial numbers. You just load it on the SSD (or sd card, or flash drive) and it just pops up under expansions. It is in no way a difficult procedure.

      Hey thanks for commenting!🙏🏾 Yea it is a fairly easy process,. I just know for me when I downloaded an MPC expansion and loaded it on the Live II the picture didn’t show up and the kits would not preview.. It could be user error, but personally I prefer NI and Native Access

    • @alchemistrpm82
      @alchemistrpm82 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@creativedwill Never had that happen with official downloads from Inmusic (Akai) but it’s been known to happen with user-created expansions (something NI doesn’t let you do btw). Weird bro but I guess it can happen. The main difference I think is that NI’s system is very closed off and curated, like the way Apple does things. Akai’s preference is to give users a bit more leeway with their file management

    • @creativedwill

      Nothing, they both offer the exact same features in regards to creating and software wise. It’s literally the same firmware. The Live II has more physical features than the One, like built in Battery and Speakers and I think like one or two more inputs and outputs. But outside of that Everything else is virtually the same.

      Yea but the MPC Plugin is not really good in my opinion.. Also, the Maschine can be used as a Midi controller to map Midi CC controls, which can control your DAW of choice. I prefer using it with Cubase in both the Plugin Mode and Midi mode. Can the MPC map/ program all the hardware buttons and knobs as Midi Data?

      @@creativedwill You know it doesn’t work like that. I was just responding to how you said it in your video. I use Cubase’s midi remote with Maschine too. It’s fine to have a preference. The MPC software has exactly the same workflow as the hardware

      @creativedwill  ปีที่แล้ว

      lol bro you can ask as many questions as you want! 😁 Man that’s a tough one.. I don’t think they will be releasing another Standalone hardware anytime soon. The MK3 has been out for a while and they haven’t updated that. I think they maybe doing some updates that improve stability, but they have been doing that since the release. Now I know that when it comes to sounds and instruments and Integration they will definitely keep updating! The MPC platform is more stable but The Machine Plus is just as stable when it’s connected to the computer in my opinion… it’s all about what do you do more of. If you produce primarily standalone then the MPC is what I would go for, if you are Hybrid and use the DAW 80% of the time and the other 20% you maybe go standalone then the Maschine is better. Decisions, decisions😁 To be real you can’t go wrong with either man. They are both worth it just in there different ways

    • @creativedwill
      @creativedwill  ปีที่แล้ว

      Go for it then 100%! If you want that Integration then Maschine is the way to go. If you can afford the Plus then go for it, but if you got the Live too and just want that Maschine workflow I would go for the MK3. I rarely use the Plus in Standalone unless I’m working on a Album or project. The MPC is my go to right now for anything standalone.

    Is mpc live better than mpc one?

    • @creativedwill
      @creativedwill  4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      It just depends on what you’re looking for. If your going to just be in the studio and will have monitors and a way to plugin the MPC One then for the money the MPC one would be a better option. If you are looking for something that is mobile and completely standalone/ wireless the then the MPC live is definitely the way to go. I personally Love the MPC live 2 and if I had to choose one it would be the Live. But again that just depends on your needs

      @@creativedwill well, I currently have the Maschine mk3. I love Maschine workflow, but I really want to be standalone. I was considering selling my mk3 and getting a plus, but the Maschine plus has been out years now and is still really expensive so thought it might be better getting an Mpc. It’s a new workflow I’d have to learn, but there’s mpc live for sale second hand for decent price.
      I have other bits of hardware (2 x Roland boutiques + td3) so want to sequence hardware also.
      I can’t decide wether it’s a good idea or not. I don’t want to leave my Maschine behind as I really love the workflow but I don’t know if I can justify how much the plus still costs after it’s been out years. There a mpc live going for £420 second hand local to me at the mo.

      @h-dawg969 I personally would buy the Live 2 for that price. That’s a steal if it’s in good condition. Question is it the Live 2 ? It should have a built in battery and Speaker. If so, go for it! I have the Maschine Plus and I barely use it in Standalone. I love the Maschine workflow too, but in regards to standalone the MPC Live is King right now.

    • @h-dawg969

      @@creativedwill nah it’s the Mpc Live, not Live 2.
      I just can’t decide as it’s a new workflow but I think it makes more sense than selling my mk3 to get a plus. I just wish that the Maschine plus had come down in price a bit more.
      What I might do is keep my mk3, and grab this Mpc live, then if I don’t get the hang of it I can resell it and I’ll still have my trusty old mk3 still.
