Kyle Wilson: Glad you got a v912. Take you time learning to fly it and until you get good only fly it in calm weather and lots of space. In time you can fly in less space and windy weather as I do in my small back yard. Just remember HAVE FUN that's what its all about. One pilot to another ...Fly Hard Brotha...TBT
Thanks Terry, just replaced my motor in my v912 thanks to this video. I'm waiting for my V913 in the mail with 2 2000mah lipo batteries as well. i mastered the V912, just wanted a bigger heli....then maybe after that one i ll look into a wl toys 6 channel heli next.
I bought the same motor. I am upgrading the battery from 850mah to 1000mah. I should be receiving them any day. Next time I will try to upgrade the main motor if I can
Hey Terry. Great vid. Straight to the point and made it pretty easy. One small problem though. After reassembly, my swashplate is not even. It just want to take off backwards when I apply throttle. Is there something I'm missing when I'm putting the canopy screw back in?
importtuner1150: I would power the heli up. On the transmitter make sure the throttle stick is all the way down and the right stick is in the middle. Look at the swash is it level? If not adjust it from that point . You may have to try this many times to get it just right. Also make sure your trims are set to middle while doing this. Let us know how you make out...One pilot to another...Fly Hard Brotha...TBT
If you're going to install MJX F45 motor, are you going to replace the circuit board as well? Any compatible brushless motor? Is the V912 compatible with 7.4v 1500mah?
Brent Doty: I had to switch the wires on my MJX motor. There are 2 ways to do this. unsolder switch red & black & resolder or cut the motor wires & solder black wire to red and then red to black, heat shrank both wires & just plugged it into the main board. I have a video on how to do this on my Must Do V912 Mods Cloud Cowboy Tail Boom Terry
I dont get this, hopefully it fly a little moore, do you take the motor out from underside or upside on the thing? And do we need to loosen it,s rotor to get it out? Or is all done from underside? Thnks for video and a great week end, hopefully it come fully brushless soon out of box=) I got it no , the plate over the motor i concidered cut away but then it would not hold the swash so loosen the screw and in with it)Have the replasemotors and the helicopter fly wery well also with a action cam on it.
Hi Terry, great vid. Hope you are good. Should the main rotor blades be turning clockwise or counter clockwise when viewed from top ? Cos mine spins counter clockwise and the heli just spins on the ground after changing to MJX F45 motor. Heard there might be some polarity issue with the F45 motor. Thanks for the tips.
Btw, if the heli is binded, powered on, throttle stick is push up but only the tail rotor is spinning. Does that indicates that the main motor has burned ? Thanks a lot
What would I need to install a Kv4500 brushless motor into my v912, as I noticed that the Kv4500 brushless motor has different wires than the stock motor?
Hey Terry! This video was very helpful. I've got a bit of a problem with my V912. The main blades stopped spinning. The tail blade still spins, but the main blades will not. I have definitely not had 43 flights or anything close to that. I'd say 20 flights at best. Everything seems to be working except for the main blades. Does this sound like a dead main motor to you? Thanks, Matt L
Matt Lowery: Yes sounds like the main motor went bad. Some main motors last a very long time others do not. Heat is what kills these motors fast. Try using the MJX-F45 motor just remember the motor wires need switched as the MJX-F45 motor is wired opposite of the V912. The MJX-F-45 is a much better motor I have used them in all my V912 once the original motor goes bad. Full throttle and blue sky's my brotha...TBT
Terry L I have two V912's ... the oldest one I've been using for spare parts. Ive got the old motor out, but getting the new one all the way down, binding to everything, and getting those 2 underneath motor screws in has proven very difficult. Any advice? Thanks for the quick response!! Matt L
Hello Sir, i really need your help, my heli is crashed last week, then it spinning when i tried to take off, then i did replace the new main brushless motor, replace the main shaft, balance bar, swashplate, but it still spinning, i don't know what's wrong, please help This is my 2nd heli v912 WLTOYS, the first one is spinning too :(
Thanks but can i just install a new motor without having to solder? My main motor doesnt work no more, my blade doesnt spin only my tail motor spin... And im scare that by installing a new motor i will screw ny helicopter up!
Cesar Feliz I always had to solder my wires on the main motors I bought for my V912. Do you know someone that can solder the wires on for you? You will not screw up your heli just always make sure the battery is out of the helicopter. If you buy a solder iron practice on something other than your motor until you get good enough to do you own motor...Fly Hard Brotha...TBT
Cesar Feliz You can pull the wires out of the connector and switch them without soldering. Just be careful and use a very small screw driver to push the tab down and pull the metal end out of the connector, do the same with the other side and just switch them when putting them back in...Fly Hard Brotha...TBT

Please, I need help, tell me how to remove this part of my helicopter v912 : WLtoys V912 4CH RC Helicopter Spare Parts Balance Bar V912 Part #SKU055997
Gilberto Mora: I remove mine this way: 1. Remove screw out of top cap then pull up and remove top cap or aluminum cover 2. Remove the 2 turn buckles on the balance bar 3. Find a nail or drill bit smaller than the pin in the center of the balance bar 4. Lay the heli on its side on a vise with the jaws open just enough to allow you to knock the pin out with your drill bit or nail. (you have to knock the pin out it does not screw out) You may need a 2nd person to help with this. Just make sure you don't lose the pin as it comes out. I only knock mine out far enough so I can pull the balance bar up and off. 5. Reassemble by knocking the pin back in 6. Snap turn buckles back on 7. Screw back on top cap or aluminum cover. I hope this helps. Tail Boom Terry

Thanks, Tail Boom, your video made changing my main motor go very smooth. Keep sharing, I for one really appreciate you!
Thanks, it helped me alot.
Best "how to" video I've ever seen...thank you!... question: could I install a V913 motor instead?
I bought the same motor. I am upgrading the battery from 850mah to 1000mah. I should be receiving them any day. Next time I will try to upgrade the main motor if I can
great info

I heard you can also use the v913 motor too not sure which one is better...

How did your MJX motor install go I have one coming in from China, did you just plug the wires in or did you solder the wires???
did you do upgrade or some motor?
