I love this song!! It's very touching and sad.. If you want to dive deeper there is a song she sang with her brother titled "Organic Acid" it is one of my favorite songs by her, it is so Kate Bush. Also "Under The Ivy" is a beautiful masterpiece. Thanks for this video!!
Very brillant and moving, very well done. I think its fascinating how Kates voice changed over the years for me in a pretty beautiful way. She sounds so good on Aerial,i love thst Album. Thanks for the reaction
Kate provided backing vocals on two of the tracks on Peter Gabriel's 3rd studio album (e.g. the one with the melted face cover). The tracks were "No Self Control" and "Games Without Frontiers," which is Gabriel's biggest UK hit single. When Kate worked with Peter Gabriel, it was very significant in another way in that she was introduced to the Fairlight CMI, Peter was the 1st UK artist to own one because they were extremely expensive. The Fairlight CMI played an increasing role on Kate's three subsequent studio albums "Never For Ever", "The Dreaming" and "Hounds Of Love".
The TH-cam channel "Trash Theory" has an excellent piece about Peter Gabriel and "Games Without Frontiers". They also freature Kate Bush twice, first a piece on she won the battle to have "Wuthering Heights" as her debut single and then how with "Running Up That Hill" Kate became the Queen of Alt-Pop. All of them are well worth a look.
This Mortal Coil also did this on their first album in 1984. That version featured Elizabeth Fraser from the Cocteau Twins on vocals. Kate was huge in England at that time. That's why she was offered a Holiday TV special. If it were today, they would have someone boring like Beyonce or Taylor Swift, etc. doing a Xmas show.
Great! Thanks Glenn and Adrian! No conocía esto. Creo que son artistas que deben expresarse con más de una forma. Han hecho un gran trabajo aquí. Me gustó.
This hit me kind of like the way Kate looked......not a fan of nasal-toned singers......I should have stopped with "Running up that hill".......Thanks Guys
@ excuse me I think you’ve taken what I said completely wrong. What I was referring to was the board look on her face through most of the video I wasn’t referring to how she looked in any other way.
Fun fact: Kate Bush was the first female singer to have a UK Number 1 with a song that she also wrote.

This Mortal Coil did a really lovely version of this song on their It'll End in Tears album.

Thanks, Glenn and Adrian. Interesting contrast between Kate and Peter's voices and styles.

@@Owlstretchingtime78 of course I should have proofread before I sent it out. That’s the problem with voice to text.
