She is my favorite artist. She stands alone on another level. I read a reviewer that said about her music; "she dances a thousand miles ahead of everyone.."
I just love Kate Bush and being a goth adolescent with some Kate Bush. She was just inducted into the Rock and Roll hall of fame and Big Boi did the honors with St Vincent performing. Some good shit!
Its not a woman topic i think swaping places with a beloved one is universal. you just did great and forget about those haters. Kate Bush is also a very skilled producer ,i think she is just fantastic. Prog at its finest specially her Album the Dreaming, very dark and experimenting Brillant, thanks a lot
Very '80's, but also very good. Kate Bush has a timeless voice even if the instrumentation is dated. Someone defending their opinion is vastly different than being put on the defensive because another person feels they are the know all about a certain topic. I'm like you in that if you call me out on erroneous facts that my opinion is based on, so be it and I'll stand corrected. It's also different for someone to agree on the principle of another's opinion and have theirs based on an entirely different angle. Debate is a great thing, it opens thought and information sharing. "My way is the only way," is simply Fascist. A rigid tree limb will be the first to break in a storm. 🧸
FAIRDINKUM DUDE! What a rant! Dont blame ya though. We dont need bad people in our lives, life can be bad enough on its own sometimes. And yes, you have to love Kate Bush. Beautiful voice, and dance, wow. Keep up the great work my man!
To the start of this vid - Good for you, Johnny! 💜 To Kate Bush - She’s always been the OG of This Woman’s Work, not Maxwell (as many think). This song got me thinking about Siouxsie and the Banshees.
Thank you! 🙏💜 Appreciate the history lesson regarding Kate. Still waiting on that request for you 😉I don't have to give you the shoutout if you don't want one 💜🧸
You need to check out the whole of side 2 of the album that this song is from (Hounds of love). Its like a mini concept album 7 songs (starting with "and dream of sheep") that tell a story of a woman who is drowning and her internal fight to not give in, including a visit from her future self who tells her that it is not her life to throw away its mine. Its collectively known as the "ninth wave" i think that there is a playlist on TH-cam with all the songs if you type that in.
....damn the critical torpedos, not worthy of the energy expended in a response...but I understand.....no worries...full speed ahead Johnny. This song of course got a boost with it's feature on Stranger Things...and it was heavily rotated on that old radio thing back in the 80s. Folks should know that this album, along with Peter Gabriel's ("So" - I think?) were the first to utilize the Fairlight sampling synth and were effectively ushering in these "new" soundscapes at that time. Kate always strove to be at the cutting edge of musical technology development. While there are numerous tunes that will impress/shock and or deeply move open listeners....I urge anyone interested to begin with the first track of her debut album "Moving" - locks one into loving this lady from the get-go!! ❤👍
@chuckw4847 Kate used the Fairlight CMI previously on the albums "The Dreaming" 1982 and "Never for Ever" 1980. First on the track "Babooshka" to be precise.
