@@krisdaschwab912 So becoming an icon to the city you dedicated your whole career to is "wasting" it? I respect your opinion because I'm beyond pissed at the Mariners for never building around Griffey, Edgar, Ichiro, AND Felix... None of them won a World Series and Felix never even pitched in the postseason, it makes me sick. But you also sound ignorant dude. Felix CHOSE to stay in Seattle, he knew that he'd probably never make it to the postseason but his connection with this city trumped all of that to him. Dude had a career 3.42 including his "decline". Thats an extra 50 wins for anyteam other than the mid 2000s Mariners. The 90s Mariners with Felix wins the series. Just my opinion. Actually you think we can add Ichiro to that squad?

Tigers fan here, watching this guy pitch was an amazing sight, he’s truly a great pitcher whether he’ll be in Cooperstown will be determined. I know he’s a great pitcher. I know he could’ve pitched another few years. Because he retired practically still in his prime, he was kind of young. He retired in 2019 he could’ve still been pitching for a big league club at least a couple more seasons more. He still brings greatness. I wouldn’t be surprised if the Mariners decided to enshrine him with the all-time Mariners great with Ken Griffey Jr. and Ichiro Suzuki, and also Randy Johnson. he deserves to be in the Mariners hall of fame. He pitched great against the Tigers. I’m wishing him the very best in his retirement. Great player. Thank you for the memories, King Felix. He’s 36 years old now almost 37 years old on April 8th, i’m just saying he’s a great player and he still would’ve had a couple more seasons left in the tank.

I grew up a Yankee fan in the dark days of mediocrity (after ‘77), when the franchise couldn’t do anything right. When MLB banned Steinbrenner from being apart of baseball activities for his toxicity. In those days Donnie Baseball was our hero for staying. It means a lot to the fans. As a fan of the game, I love King Felix. I pray for the day the Mariners are back giving the Yanks fits in the divisional round like in the 90’s. It’s good for the game. Keep faith Seatown!

Almost criminal that the Mariners organization has been inept for the entirety of his career. He had a talent that should've been displayed on a national stage, perhaps close to 100 win stolen from him by playing on a cellar dweller. Bavasi, Jackie Z, and Dipoto should be ashamed of themselves for screwing the King and the fans of the Mariners these last 2 decades.
