This was a different recipe. There are so many recipes to choose from. As you consistently remind us in all your videos, we can add or take away ingredients according to our taste. Thanks for all your great recipes!
I was under the hood of cars with my dad. I missed the time of being in the kitchen with my mom. I thank for your loving time to show me how to make cornbread dressing.
You are amazing! You can make Asian cuisine, hispanic cuisine and now a little soul food. I made your mac and cheese and it is the best! I tried all those diff. ways making the egg custard layering with cheese blah and it never came out right or was even half as creamy as yours. Thank you for all your cooking wisdom!!!
I use poultry seasoning in my cornbread while it is baking. Since it has the sage in there it gives it a great flavor then I add and little more once I to mix the stuffing
Thank you for bringing back the holiday cornbread dressing recipe my parents use to prepare. This easy easy to prepare and tastes awesome. Again, thanks for bringing back a lost tradition.
I am making dressing tonight and have used my mother in laws recipe for 39 years… I watch your video and the recipes are almost exact. This is and will be one of the best classic recipes you can make. I smoked a 9 lb. Turkey in my pellet smoker today and my house like yours… smells amazing. Happy Thanksgiving (in this case) and thank you for sharing!
Great recipe, saved in my phone. It taste like my mom's. My mommy had a different method that was a lot of prepping..this recipe is much faster and you still have great flavor
My recipe is similar with exception of Smoked Turkey. I used broth from Regular Turkey legs & wings. In addition I mixed at least 6 eggs into the drippings & cornbread crumbles. My dressing usually has SAGE in it. I usually cook it in the foil deep dish pans. The dressing is fantastic
Wow, looks so delicious. Thanks for sharing your recipe. I'm making my dressing as we speak!! God bless you and have a awesome Thanksgiving and Christmas!!
I can't imagine using packaged cornbread mix for my dressing, homemade cornbread everytime!!!!! Sage, sage and more sage, I also make my own broth, I cook Texas style, from scratch just like Grandma and Mama taught me!!!!!
I tried your recipe, this is the quickest and easy recipe. The dressing was delicious, and I did not add meat. This time I might add sage sausage, but it's not required. The dressing is moist and sweet. Thank you for this, it almost taste like mom's old recipe. She's in heaven and I try to carry on her fine cooking, which I miss around the holiday season. This brings me joy, reminiscing about good ole Christmas time with my sweet parents! It's nothing like family, love and great food!
It's not dressing if you don't add poultry & a little sage or sage can be optimal but definitely need poultry seasoning!!! Holiday aroma. T* Ma in Florida
It's crazy how ppl will go to somebody's video and say, "well this isn't the way my mama/granny/family made it," then complain. Well how about tell them to post a video so you can watch it and be happy at how they do, it instead of trying to impose the way YOUR family cooks on another family🤦🏾♀️
I'm excited to try this recipe for the holidays. I've never made dressing because I was always too intimidated, but this looks easy and delicious. Thanks so for sharing another wonderful recipe ❤
I will give this a try for a week night meal, something different from the traditional dressing I'm used to and not as long lol!! Great video!

Yes! I remember the dressing my late grandmother used to make had everyone picking meat off of boiled turkey necks and legs, chopping pecans from her pecan tree that we had to peel and clean and the list goes on. I will say this, I sure do miss eating it though. Lol! ;)
I like to shred a baby yellow crooknecked squash to each package of cornbread mix and about a cup of freshly shredded yellow squash to the dressing once mixed . Not only does it make amazing cornbread but the dressing tastes incredible.
Great recipe. Last year I made this with the prepackaged stuff, but it wasn't as good as I had hoped so I remade it with homemade like I normally do and it was terrific. It was eaten up in no time.
This is the first of your videos I've seen and I've gotta say, not only does the recipe look good but I really like your filming style. Simple, uncluttered....I've subscribed to your channel and I look forward to seeing your other videos.
I love how short and sweet your videos are! This is very similar to how I've always made my dressing. Except I boil turkey necks for the broth and meat. I use sage and more sage. I've got to say olives and pecans just don't sound right in cornbread dressing. Maybe that's because I'm from New Orleans.
You are such a great cook and teacher everything you make and I try to cook comes out so delicious keep up all the great work. Oh I finally got my tamales right using your recipe thanks so much.
My paternal grandma used to make 3 to 5 different dressings, depending on who was there. My favorite she made was the one she made with sausage, apples, raisins, celery, onion and bell peppers. She used whatever bread was in the house. She'd make another with nuts and other stuff, a cornbread and oyster, that's all I can remember.
Almost EXACTLY the way I make it. The only meat I use are the gizzards and turkey necks. I also add pats of butter on top of the stuffing before covering it with the foil. Love your videos hun. ❤
I honestly like this video. Of course everyone in the world makes their food different and for their taste. I live in the south south 😂 so I get it. Great video
This is THE BEST dressing I have EVER MADE.. My husband LOVED it. I will be keeping this recipe. I followed it to a T. I wish I could’ve put a pic in here. This dressing was soooo moist n a lil crunchy. I’ve been trying for years to make it like my moms since she died. THIS IS IT😀😀. Thank u for sharing this DELICIOUS recipe. It’s almost gone now. It’s Thanksgiving Day so no leftovers on this😂😂.
Looks absolutely delish! I've never heard of cornbread dressing....I'm Canadian maybe that's why? Lol I'm going to try this though...love ALL of your videos!!!
This is just how my mama makes hers (except turkey meat instead of ham)!!! Love it and look forward to it every Thanksgiving but will have to try it with ham :) TY and blessings
I Always Cook For 12+Huge Pan "Thanksgiving Dressing"! I Cook My Cornbread In A (Large) Iron Skillet, Let Cool, I Break It Apart With My Hands In Large Metal, or Glass Pan, I Add...1 Table Spoon Of Sage, About 4 Chopped Fine Boiled Eggs, 3 Chopped Fine Celery, & 1 Lg. Onion, Cut Up 1/2 Cup Small Pcs.Chicken/Turkey "Dark Meat" Of Legs, Etc., Salt & Pepper To Taste, Pour Gibblet Broth/Gravy Over Broken Up Cornbread & All Ingredients, Then I Add 1-Lg. Teaspoon Of Baking Powder At The End, Right Before I Put In Oven On 350°-400°, Cook Uncovered Until Lightly/Medium Brown Cooked Dressing.... Wonderful! "Cover W/Foil After Removing From Oven To Keep From Drying Out! "Gibblet Gravy" (Huge Pot) The Rest Of My "Broth", I Take Out (1 Cup Of Broth To The Side), & Add Cut Up Fine 4 Boil Eggs, 1/2 Cup Chicken/Turkey, (All) Into Almost Boiling Broth, Salt & Pepper! To My (Side Cup Of Hot Broth), I Add About 2 Tbs.Of Flour, Stir Good, Until All Mixed Creamy... Then Add It To Large Pot Of Broth, Almost Boiling, After Thickens About 10 Min., If Not Thick Enough, Get Out Another Cup, But (Don't Add Flour To Large Pot) Before It's Stirred Up In Cup Of Broth! After Thickens..Turn Down Heat To About Medium/Low, This Is What Gives Gravy "Body"...& Cover! Gibblet Gravy For Over Dressing... Fabulous! (Caution Hot)!..Keep Hot Broth At Back On Stove, Never Allow Children To Dip Out Of Large Hot Pot!
Cornbread Dressing looks delicious! We don’t have this brand of cornbread in our area but I would love to try making this for Thanksgiving! Thank you for sharing :)
Oh my!!! How yummy!!! This looks so much like the one I make but I don’t use ham or turkey. I use the jimmy dean sausage meat (the one that comes in a roll like growing meat) omg it’s soooooo yummy! 😋 I’m going to have to try yours also 👍🏼
Yum!!!! I love Thanksgiving SOOOO much I always need cornbread dressing 😋😋😋....but that poultry seasoning Actually makes the house smell like Thanksgiving when you use it anytime of the year!
Yummmmo can't wait til Thankagiving! This is almost the same recipe I use. I use green onions and for the meat I use chunks of chicken breast. It's a meal all on it's own, DELISH!
@ this is so awesome I really appreciate you and your videos. Always so helpful. I made your soft dinner rolls the other night with a roast meal for practice as well. They were wonderful 😊
Omg I'm delighted to see you don't use any egg and that it will still work out and have the consistency I remember my grandmothers had! I have an egg allergy and this has been really hard figuring out what to do and google searches have turned up nothing until I happened upon this. Thank you!

Yay! I'm so glad this helps. My son has an egg allergy. It's not severe and he can have baked egg in things like cake or cornbread, but I try not to use it if I can help it. When making the cornbread, use some buttermilk and extra baking powder to replace the egg. 😀
My grandmother made a sweet dressing. She added chopped apples, pecans and raisins. I never liked it. I cook sage flavored Owens sausage and sauté my onion, bell pepper and celery in with the sausage. It’s so good!
Jamal I wish I had your grandmas recipe with all those ingredients of apples rain raisens nuts. I love yo use the turkey drippings for the stuffing , but never use anything like ham or turkey in it.
I think it looks good. I prefer my turkey and ham on the side though. I keep seeing comments saying "no sage?" To those people, sage is the main ingredient in poultry seasoning. It does need more sage in addition to what's in the poultry seasoning.
I tryed your green beans casserole and hash browns casserole for Thanksgiving already fix it in freezes it for Thursday our Thanksgiving. Hope my family enjoy its. I will try the cornbread dressing another day for dinner homemade dressing with sage and celery seeds chicken legs chopped up and eggs whole lots of eggs. Homemade chicken broth also from chicken
I make cornbread dressing every year for Thanksgiving. I am super picky about who's I will eat too. I would definitely give yours a try. Bangin job Chica!! :)

Good job, and I'm black. People can be so rude. You made your dressing how you wanted to. Looks good to me.
You are amazing! You can make Asian cuisine, hispanic cuisine and now a little soul food. I made your mac and cheese and it is the best! I’m black and in the south and this is my go to recipes for at least the past 4 years for thanksgiving. It’s perfect!
I use this recipe every year!! Easy to follow and so good.
Thank you for bringing back the holiday cornbread dressing recipe my parents use to prepare. This easy easy to prepare and tastes awesome. Again, thanks for bringing back a lost tradition.

The dressing is fantastic
Agree about sage, it is required for my dressing.
So much negativity on the comments below. If you don’t like what you see than go on to the next video.
Amen Valerie!
True! Why the hate? It is so very disrespectful!
🤭
Stop whining

I use sage sausage for my dressing, try it, it is delicious! To save time, I sauté the trinity with the sausage.
This is a yummy looking, simplified version of a year-round favorite side dish. Thanks for sharing 💛
4:30 Says her family doesn't like the poultry Seasoning, adds it anyway! 😂😂 👌👌
Haha! I had to get sage in there somehow...lol! I love sage, but they think it tastes too medicinal. 😀
Sage is a must!!!!!
It's not dressing if you don't add poultry & a little sage or sage can be optimal but definitely need poultry seasoning!!! Holiday aroma. T* Ma in Florida
Boss move

I made this recipe last year and it turned out great!
Delicious. I always add sage to mine
I make this every year and it’s 🔥🔥🔥
Instead of toasting the cornbread I add 1 boxed sage stuffing to my cornbread
I always add extra sage! It comes out perfect.
This looks so delicious 😋 thanks for the recipe I'm making this for the holidays!!
Sage is the key! Got to have my Sage!
Almost EXACTLY the way I make it. The only meat I use are the gizzards and turkey necks. I also add pats of butter on top of the stuffing before covering it with the foil. Love your videos hun. ❤
