    At least under the tax law a couple of years ago you could take up to ten years to reduce your yearly tax liability until your rebate was fully exhausted. i.e. in your example of a $26,000, possible tax rebate you could take $2,600 per year for ten years or any combination, per year, but must take as soon as eligible. But, you are absolutely correct if you don't owe any taxes or less than $26,000 in taxes over ten years your tax reduction benefit will be reduced or eliminated!

    Sounds like you could still do an additional 400ft2 ground mount system, which depending upon panels yield another 6kw of solar and then you could use the IQ8's also? I've done multiple large RV stuff, and now going to a small ground mount, but in CA the regs are crazy. Thanks for the video!

    Super enjoyed this video. Precisely what I was looking for. I'm looking to put my own solar together in the future and your solar video's of your installation have been very valuable to me. I am also interested in all of the wiring (above and beyond the other videos that you have put together) that you have done to get your setup fully operational.
    Again thanks for the great solar content.

      Much appreciated! I can't wait to share more about the system and how it is producing. I will definitely be covering the wiring diagram in the future. I think that might be very helpful. Thank you for watching and commenting 👍

    Warranty - my understanding is that panels and other solar devices have no manufacturer warranty (rather than 25 year warranty) when you buy them from a third party (like SanTan or SurplusSolar) regardless of whether they are new or used unless the third party seller offers a warranty.. For instance, when SanTan sells a new panel, they provide a one year warranty. Also doesn't Enphase void your warranty if you install their equipment without first being certified by them. Their certification is their check to make sure you are properly installing their equipment.

      I took the classes free through enphase university and became certified so I could get the warranty. I have touched base on in another video. I may do a more detailed video on that process down the road. I bought my panels through surplussolar as "New" never used or opened and I have a 25yr warrenty on my panels. I called the manufacturer to make sure by checking the serial numbers. They confirmed the warranty. Not sure on all scenarios but for me it worked out. Goodluck thanks for watching and commenting 👍🏻

    The best money ANYONE can spend is to get the Sunnytrack app. For a few bucks you can view through your phone’s camera the sun’s path across the sky from the point of view of your potential solar panel placement. It let’s you know if there’s any obstacles or bad mounting angle for any time of the year. It would suck to waste money to mount a 10kw array that only gets usable sun for half the best sun hours because it’s mounted on a bad roof side. Sometimes it’s better to not even start the project if it’s not right or can’t get the permits to do it right.

    Great video, alot of good points, thanks!
    The PV calculator is really pretty close to my results.
    I added 2x Trina 410w panels with 2x Enphase IQ7plus-72-2-us , hooked up on my garage.
    Didn't check with anyone, just did it.
    I'm only saving at most $14 a month, but I wanted data.
    I used the Emporia system to track everything.
    Now I know I want a large setup, 20-30 panels with a battery, but I'll move to different property first...

    • @JustinsProject
      @JustinsProject  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Awesome! I would recommend on your next setup if you go with 410's to use the A's over the plus's. Just a thought. If I had it to do over I would use the IQ7A or IQ8A on my system. I think they would have performed better. Happy with my systems though so I will not be changing that anytime soon. Thanks for watching and commenting! 👍

    You may have addressed in another video I have not filed taxes in years I'm on disability yet not a vet but I was wondering why you chose to remain on the grid I have converted a barn with a barn style roof that gets plenty of Sun in Alabama I hope the panels serve as an insulator to reduce Heat how much more for battery and to be completely off the grid thanks for sharing

    • @JustinsProject
      @JustinsProject  ปีที่แล้ว

      I choose to remain grid tied because the power company offers a 1:1 net metering. I have a video on net metering if you would like to know more. Financially it made more sense to let the utility company store my over production in the summer and get that credit back in the winter. Essentially they are storing it in form of credit 1:1 ratio. I wanted to return my investment as fast as possible. Adding my own battery backup wasn't maximizing my return. It literally was going to be beneficial in an outage. There are much cheaper solutions that offer a decent solution to that. I am still exploring option on that. Thanks for watching and commenting 👍🏻

    Hey, awesome videos! Have the same setup enphase iq7+ but the lg panels and 12.1 size. I decided to not do a ground mount in case shtf and theft. Might have to do a video on how to fix solar panels with buckshot holes in the future.
    Battery cost to crazy $32k, buying a Cummins 30 kwh generator around $13k. Trying to find out how to hook up and run panels at same time. Have you done a video on that yet?

    would a 10'{or lower} wooden pole building using used rails & panels [for roof] work...no law against an outbuilding leaking a bit in the rain...
