When they pushed me too far, I went into my bedroom , locked the door and turned on Freebird full blast! And they KNEW to leave me alone! I had had enough and the long guitar solo was to release the frustration! I played it until all that was gone! Now they are all grown ! And I do fly a Freebird!

Thank You for reacting to this song. It was my Dad’s favorite song. When we went to see them live in 2012, they started playing the guitar solo, and I looked beside me to see my dad with a beer in one hand and tears streaming down his face rocking the air guitar. Very well said, it's not because you are uncultured. For a long time Lynard Skynyrd was looked on as being a racist group because they always flew a Confederate flag at their concerts. It was often said that if you listened to them that you were racist. Anybody that chooses to actually listen to their songs can see that they are just a great band singing great songs with no hate in their hearts

Not many groups of today's music come close to old rock and roll from the sixties through the eighties. Today's music either has good music and bad lyrics or great lyrics and bad music. Few achieve both. Most cannot put an album together that is good all the way through. Keep listening to the old stuff you won't be disappointed. Lynard synard was a man that the group all knew. At the time they figured why not name their band after this guy. If I remember correctly. He was a gym coach that said they wouldn’t amount to much. The band actually lost some of their band in the 70’s due to a plant crash. This song while I was growing up I wanted to play at my funeral. The band was a band that was southern rock. They came from the south. Totally a great band! I love that you’re stepping out of your comfort genre! I have listened to a lot of bands over my years. Even rap! I loved Tupac and the old rappers!! Enjoy!!

I love the reaction when the Solo starts. The first time I heard this song, Same thing. The fact that he respects the music is strong. I'm a huge fan of most genres of music. From classical (Like mozart) to Heavy metal. Not a huge modern rap fan, although there are some good tunes that I can jam to. I absolutely love 90's and early 2000's rap though.
This is my first time viewing this channel. This is truly amazing. I like seeing stuff like this.
As I said, I love music, I recently saw something that said "A world without music is a world that I don't want to live in" and I can agree with that.

Fun fact about the band's bizarre name, they chose the name after their high school gym teacher, Leonard Skinnert. They thought it was such a funny name that they stylized it into Lynyrd Skynyrd.
