Definitely a Praying Mantis... Not harmful to humans but a really bad day for any insect, small snake or small animal. They will eat anything...

didn't realize we'd be going along with Mr King OBE on a steep, narrow, rocky, mountaineering trek up into the rarely seen on video the remote alpine villages of the Indian Himalayas... just extraordinary... really reminds me of when we went on a 7-day trek from Lukla (Tenzing Hillary Airport) up to the Everest base camp in Nepal. It was quite a slog hiking up narrow, steep, winding ,rocky trails, dodging other trekkers, monks and yaks, sherpas and mountaineers, spending overnights in small mountain villages of Namche Bazaar and Tengboche.
🌳 and power lines don't mix?? Love this place your in and has inspired me as long as i can get a cold beer as well a puff. Great stuff keep your vlogs coming 👍

That was most certainly a Preying Mantis, mate. Quite a nice one too! My mate used to breed them here in Dublin, all sorts of colours. I kept them for a while myself. Beautiful creatures! Absolutely loving your India vlogs, mate. Happy days and thank you.

I would of thought that the mountain air was so fresh and good for the lungs , apart from altitude sickness … but it’s interesting that you are the vlogger in this region that’s ever mentioned the sand stone dust around .. so that’s good to know man … thanks
