Fantastic movie. John was one hell of a pilot, so was his dad.

Yeah, I've heard tell of this. Apparently, his autobiography 'Take Me Home' goes into more detail about the situation, how the father was a military man. Very reserved and not prone to showing emotion. This had a trickle-down effect on his kids, making it harder for them to make social connections and friendships. On top of everything, John had Asperger's syndrome ... so it's really quite amazing what he accomplished. Putting himself on the world stage and making friends with people around the world. He was a truly inspiring, talented, and caring person. We were lucky to have him.
