I've just seen this beautiful movie, and I also heard this emotional, amazing song, and I'd loved to make this video. And Cillian Murphy was brilliant in it.
My wife was a cousin of the great Sean McKeon, the blacksmith of Ballinalee. The Brits could not catch him, so they burned down the lonely cottage of his widowed mother and his younger brothers and sisters, and left them there in the field.
80 years later, my wife sat in the brick foundations, quietly smiling at my camera.
What men they were, what women!

Indirectly but the main reason was because he 'raised his hand' to a British soldier/'master'. Always has been the ultimate act for extreme punishment/death in the history of British colonies.
