I just ordered the base gel and these tips. I'm so excited to try them out. I'm glad that you showed your flash curing method with the regular uv/led lamp as opposed to the smaller flash light that most people seem to be using because I only have the regular lamp as well and was trying to figure out how I would flash cure. Great video! Thank you!!
Thank you!! Yesss I always see the small UV/LED flash light, which is awesome and all, but definitely not necessary. The way I turned my lamp made it super easy to do it myself while still holding the nail down 👍🏼
I have had the nail on for 6 days now and it is holding up amazingly, very strong and sturdy as if it was acrylic. The only negative thing I will say is that the squares off shape is changing faster than my other nails. It looks more like a rounded squoval rather than the tapered square shape I started with. I hope that’s helpful! I plan to do another video of me filling in the 123 go full cover tip with acrylic because I heard max say that is a possibility when he was on Nail Career Education 😊
Thanks for sharing your video and I appreciate the extra little tip you gave us about putting your UV a lamp sideways light sideways a lot easier to cure that way!
U can do this with any base gel. Etch inside of nail tips apply base coat to natural nail cure apply second coat to natural nail don't cure yet then apply base coat to inside of nail tip . Then apply nail tip to natural nail then cure.
loved this video! and i’m glad you showed the thickness i was about to comment asking about that lmaoo also you convinced me to order them, i just can’t decide between coffin or stiletto or even XL sizes so i could make them square 😫
So glad this video was helpful!! Haha max should seriously sponsor me 🤷🏻♀️😂 sooo true about getting the XL so that you can square them off and end up with a nice tapered square.. lemme know what you end up choosing!!
I thought you needed the base for you natural nail so dehydrator primer base and then the press on gel you’d apply to the fake tip and that’s what kept the nails on. No idea but that’s what I ordered can’t wait to try it out acrylics have really done a number on my Nails. Well not the acrylic but the place I was going did a terrible job removing my acrylics and just ripped up my natural nails any tips on getting them healthy and growing again ?

Hi! You can do a few things, you can fully remove the nail and reapply another, you can fill it with base gel, you can fill it with poly gel or some sort of hard gel, and you can even fill it with acrylic. I fill my 123 go nail with acrylic in the video linked here! th-cam.com/video/OlA9-36gXcs/w-d-xo.html
Beginner Question. This is probably obvious to everyone but me, but can gel nail tips (the full cover ones) be applied using nail glue and if so what kind? Or is it better to use base gel?
People have mentioned trying using poly gel to attach them and it didn’t work very well. I would think it’s best to use the base gel or the bubblegum gel to attach. Other brands of base gel/glue might work if they’re the UV setting kind. If you’re talking about using cyanoacrylate glue (Super glue), I wouldn’t bother. These are pretty shaped and sculptured with a higher arch, and need something to fill in between the natural nail and cover nail. Using acrylic might work though. FYI, since enailcouture uses real soft gel and aren’t typical ABS for their full cover nails, they react to UV light and shrink slightly, providing a better fit to the nail (keep them away from a UV light before applying).
Thank you for the video. Just ordered the gel press on last night in short and eternal beige coffin. I have gellish structure gel and told myself that I need to use it BEFORE I get another one. So the happy gel will have to wait. It's easy for me to get carried away with so many products 😩. Your application makes me confident that the structure gel will be just fine. Hopefully 🤞.
I totally agree that the amount of potential products is overwhelming! Not to mention expensive! Haha so it’s hard, but I think the structure gel should work. You’ll know immediately if it is adhering or not haha best of luck I hope it works!
Hi! Hmm honestly enailcouture has so many gels and polishes it’s so hard to keep track to be honest haha I know that base gel, happy gel, and there’s a new gel max just came out with that work with 123 go nails. Honestly unsure girl I’m sorry !
Hi! It lasted about two weeks! I could have left it on for longer but all of my nails were growing out and I needed a fill. The only downside to the 123 go nail is that, over time, it becomes more rounded more easily than acrylic nails. Thanks for watching and for the comment!
Hi! I’m honestly unsure of the grit, either 100 or 180. And it lasted two weeks! I could have left it for longer but all of my nails were growing out/I needed a fill. The only downside to the 123 go nail was that, over time, it became more rounded more easily than my other nails that had all been squared off. Thanks for watching and for the comment!
Such a great video! Thank you for explaining it so well. Do you think it’s okay to use plastic full press ons (Makart for example) from Amazon with the base gel instead of nail glue? Looking for a nail glue substitute!
Hi! Thanks so much for the nice comment 😊 I do think it would be okay to use plastic full cover tips with the base gel, I haven’t tried it though. The only thing is that you’d have to soak them off fully when they grow out, whereas with the 123 go nails, you can actually fill them with gel or acrylic because the nail tips are made of gel themselves !
I’m new to your channel and I am dying to know how you take care of your natural nails. They’re nice and thick with a good length. I struggle with my natural nails breaking.
Aw thank you!! In general, I use cuticle oil often, which helps soften my cuticles and allows my nails to grow, I don’t pick at my nails in any way (which can be hard for some people, I used to bite my nails when I was younger), maybe I will make a video about this! 😊 thanks for the comment ☺️
I think it’s just the formulation that makes hard gel stiffer. I can tell you that true gel nails and poly gel, builder gel, etc. have a polyurethane additive in addition to the acrylic; whereas ABS (acrylonitrile butadiene stearate) tips are just the acrylic. I would bet the UV reactive part is in the polyurethane.
Quickest way with no damage: Using an e-file, file down the fake nail with a coarse drill bit until you get to the base gel underneath. Then use a gel polish remover for the rest.
Hey girl next time grab his primer it preaches on his tips all you have to do is take the primer and swiping on a few times and it itches a nail makes it even faster
Thank you so much!! Hmm you could use a regular nail file but it wouldn’t be as effective, it would take much longer, and it might not reach the center of the nail unfortunately
Hi you can actually use acetone and a brush to etch the inside of the nail. It works, is way faster and they say you can do that on Apres nail videos :) I used to etch but now I use acetone because it’s faster
You can use primer in the back of the nail to etch it, although I think enail couture now has their tips pre etched, but primer works really well, I wouldn’t use acetone if u are a beginner, it can really weaken the integrity of the nail if u accidentally use too much, because the nail is made out of gel, so it will dissolve easily in acetone, but primer is an excellent option and won’t weaken ur extension....😊👍🏼
That’s so odd! I’m not sure why it wouldn’t cure, especially after 90 seconds. Maybe it had to do with the way the nail was prepped. Did you apply dehydrator and acid free primer??
@@gabyirene no my nails are stuck well the thing is to the top of the nail I polished over it with the base gel the black bottle and cured it but it remained sticky not sure why
NessasChicBoutique ohhh I see what you what you mean, I didn’t understand what you meant at first. The base gel isn’t considered a “no wipe topcoat” so it will always cure and be sticky so you just have to wipe over it with alcohol and that should remove the sticky layer ☺️
This helps to create a smoother surface as well as an apex (higher in the center basically) so that the tip can fit onto my nail better and product won't seep out the sides when I press down before curing. The nail tip has a c-curve and my natural nail is flatter, so the gel underneath helps the nail tip fit my natural nail, I hope that makes sense! :)

Please don't turn your lamp sideways to flash cure. Google UV lamp eye problems to see why.

The nails last for 2+ weeks, however, it is different for everyone, it just depends how fast your natural nails grow and appear to need a fill

Is base gel? Base coat? Or cover gel
