I have the same cannof acetone and the same burner 😁. I've got a DCF887 body, and two 5ah power stack battery tops in my potion right now. Hoping for the best.
Given that acetone evaporates very quickly at room temperature I'm finding it hard to believe that any of it survives in a well heated solution long enough to have any effect the dye process. It all seems to have worked out in the end though.
I loved the "You know what? Let's go for it!" attitude here. I also picked up some good tips. Good video, man!
Great video, mate! Had me cracking up and worked PERFECTLY on my guitar parts.
Spills the acetone, stirs with a screwdriver, burns his fingers, gets dye on himself. Top results though!🙃
I’m trying this
Complete dumbass I clicked off the video

Curious to know how well this method held up. Any upfates6?
Glad cameron nimela's method really does work. Also Eddie is right about acetone on heat: bad idea. Anyways nice vid, keep the channel going!
I love this video 😆
Per RIT, liquid dye doesn't need the hot water which is only to dissolve the powder dye. Isn't acetone flammable?
40%and higher of acetone would be flammable.. heat is needed to dye plastic
Are there Rit dye more in other colours?

How did they hold up in time? Is the dye scraping off easily?
Id love to do this on my number plates but im scared they will worp or break what temperature is dirtbike plastics melting point?
Man, you're as reckless as me! I like it.
Can I do this the Rosa or pink color too ?
it was the spilling near the stove and the Phillips head for me 🤣🤣
No one wants to hear it Sean…
I’ve got powder dye, you reckon that’ll work?
Where did you buy the rit dye from... and is it rit dye synthetic?
joanns fabrics and michaels should have it,, i’ve also seen it at publix and target I believe and yes it’s synthetic
Dyemore according to the web sight don’t come in black
Graphite is closest , I’m wondering how close to black that is
Should not boil the the acetone, vapors in the atmosphere that should not be inhaled and they are flammable!
میشه رنگ های دیگه ای هم زد ؟ مثل سفید یا قرمز ؟
No, that is 8 oz of acetone if you include the stuff that ran off the bottom of the can.
How long did it last?
You're pouring the acetone wrong. The spout should be at the top when pouring. That will give you far more control.
Acetone makes plastic extremely brittle tho....
It will survive about 2 seconds in boiling water so probably not long enough to do much damage.
Is it ok to leave the plastic in the dye for about 48 hours?
No
whats the acetone for ???
Commonly used in relation to automotive painting or useful in cleaning paint equipment.
Opens up the plastic pores
That Michigan accent tho'
He man plastic melt at 180 ,so that's possible?
Pakistan shop address?
Really man? You think this guy lives in Pakistan 😂
Why not just title this video “terrible ideas at every possible turn“?
You should practice your dyeing before showing it to the public you will be causing a lot of disaster in many homes and you could possibly be sued.
Lmao
Are you serious?
Hahaha 😂
Some people live in a fantasy land in their own mind.
