Kyle, this instructional video is a LIFE SAVER for me! I'm new to MuseScore and have been making (pretty) good progress in learning to work with it, but this particular bit of editing was eluding me. NO MORE! Many thanks, keep up the good work. I expect to see you very soon, when I run into my next speed bump with MuseScore. 🤔
What you have said is quite clear. My question is, how would the procedure be if in the musical composition it is required to go several times to the coda and not start from the beginning of the score? Thank you.
Hello thank you for the great inspiration. One question: The segno has to be mentioned in the musical instruction D.S.. So that the musican knows from wich segno to wich other point (same sign) he has to jump. Some times there are more than one D. S. Jumps in an misical transcription. So my question is, how to put those signs explicit at the D.S. comand to mark wich sign is meant.
How to get the playback to make a normal small rit. at the end of the D.C. wihtout any visible signs in the score? (In reality musicians of course make a small rit. right a the very end without there being any clues of this in the score.) Of course I can make it invisible, but still it sould only be played the last time. otherwise it sounds very, very strange.
Hi Musician Startup, first let me say great tutorial. Is there any way I can get Musescore to play a repeat four times (how do I even write such a thing lol). I have the normal repeats and a ds al coda, thanks to your great tut, which gets me to three repeats, but I need four. Is there any chance you could help me out on this please?
I have really enjoyed your videos. Thank you for making these! I have a question regarding multiple verses with the same chorus, and also, a bridge. I am making lead sheets of original songs from memory and audio recordings. I really like MuseScore for this, as I can play it back and be certain that I have entered my notation correctly. How do you use a common chorus with multiple verses and a bridge. I can't stack the lyrics under a single melody for one verse, as there are some variations. One song I am working on goes Verse, Chorus, Verse, Chorus, Verse, Bridge, Chorus. Is there a way to format this in MuseScore that will facilitate playback in that order? Again, thanks for making the videos!
Fred, thank you for your question (and for enrolling in the course!). Please let me know if you have any additional questions or would like to see something added to the course. I am constantly looking to improve it and your feedback is much appreciated. For your question, I do not know off the top of my head the best way to have the playback work the way you would like for your song. Are you using repeat signs for the verse/chorus? You mentioned that repeats didn't always fit because some of your verses are slightly different. One possible solution would be: after the 2nd chorus, you might be able to put a D.S. al Coda, then point to the 3rd verse with the D.S. and afterwards add a Coda sign to jump to the Bridge (you can still use the D.S. al Coda for jumps but then go to the inspector element and hide the words if you would like). Then after the Bridge you might need to copy and past the chorus again. Let me know if I missed something. Thank you again!
Thank you for watching my walkthrough on how to add Coda markings in MuseScore 3! Please let me know if you have any questions :)
