Please recommend a good vitamin c serum. The one I’m currently using is giving my rashes and breakouts so I had to stop it. Please note that it’s my first time using a vitamin c serum
Salicylic will dry up your skin. Try low pH cleansers(Cosrx good morning cleansers or any other brand). After washing, Cleanse your face with a cotton pad and toner(simple toner or Acwell licorice toner)to get rid of dirts. Then apply essence like (Joseon ginseng essence/ isntree green tree) for day time, and light moisturizer if you like. For night time after cleansing with Simple toner and cotton pad, apply The Ordinary niacinamide +Zinc. Zinc is important because you have acne prone skin. wait for 5 mins, then apply serum that contains AHA/BHA like (Some by mi serum) or any other active serum. This time, dab the AHA serum on your face evenly, then apply moisturizer if you like. Avoid using salicylic wash for now. It's better when you use a non active wash when you have acne prone/oily skin. If you use retinol or Differin adapalene. Use it 3 times a week. Do not combine retinol with actives like AHA/BHA.For Retinol application- wash your face with low pH cleanser, Apply hyaluronic acid serum or Cosrx 96 snail mucin, apply moisturizer then take pea size retinol and dot it on your face avoiding eyes area and around your nose/lips. Use your fingers to rub it in gently. Then apply thick moisturizer like CeraVe or Aveeno to seal it up. If it's your first time using retinol, try Differin adapalene or The ordinary retinol in 0.5%. start with once a week. I hope this helps.

It depends on the product some products like clarinet must be rubbed together to activate the ingredients before tabbing them onto your skin .
