The reason Gina did not get in was a personality thing, imo. I liked her, but there was a clear self desire in her that viewed the other girls as prey, rather than partners. There's a lot that goes on behind the camera that we don't see. This is of course, all opinion and conjecture, but I think it was the right call. I still sub to Gina's yt and support her independent career; which is what I think she needed all along.
I think Kendall is really hated is because JYP called her vocals perfect in the last performance even though we could hear voice cracks and such. Though, she's actually a great addition
This is exactly it. Her edit was AWFUL for the American audience. People would have rooted for her (like they did Yuna) if she had been played as an underdog. Praising her when it was undeserved was just a bad choice. She has that IT factor and I 100% think she should have made the group. But the presentation of her was so bad.
The people that hated on Kendall, really only hated her because, She was JYP's darling from the beginning, they didn't hate Kendall, they just hated JYP, which is sad and stupid and unfair to Kendall. JYP saw in her something a lot of people didn't, and Kendal I would say is the most improved out of all the girls in the contest, she deserved it, because she out performed the girls who didn't make it.
maybe korean audience is different and may have accepted Kendall being praised for everything. But that doesn't work for America. I know it's not Kendall's fault and it's VERY UNFAIR that she's not receiving the support she deserves just because the show wanted to make her look perfect.
Ok but as a Korean, Kendall ate her "24 Hours by Sunmi" performance. Her pronunciation, dance, vocals, and facial expressions were so good to the point I wanted her to debut at that moment. She at least deserves credit for that.
I’m glad that the people who made it in the group made it. Christina had a lot of back problems, Melissa seemed like she’ll work better as a soloist, and Gina struggled a lot with showing emotion which made it much harder for me to connect with her dancing. I feel like Yuna and Mischa were robbed because Yuna just needed help with counting and being on beat, while Mischa was really good and improving really well.
I too believe Yuna and Mischa were robbed. They just needed a little more training but were both so sweet and talented. Mischa didn't ever get credit for her improvements and should have been allowed to at least go to Korea with the others. I really like all 11 of them but some of them are better as soloist. Gina is putting out some very good stuff and Yuna is in one with her. Cristina is also putting up dance videos and probably has a lot more students in her dance classes since she is more famous and has had more training. Melissa still has a beautiful voice and good attitude so I wish them all the very best!!
honestly I wouldn't say robbed... They were just not ready... which is ok too... JYP can help them, on singing and dancing, but Mischa just lacked stage presence, or as JYP puts it star quality, and Yuna gets stage fright... As someone who also gets stage fright it's not something you can overcome easily... For an idol to get stage fright, it's probably not the right career path...
Mischa wasn't robbed either, because she couldn't connect to the audience. She had strange habits (like looking over the viewer) that were just odd and made (JYP) uncomfortable. While she did get a little better, she just didn't have good stage presence.
Vocally, KG is more modern like Tate McRae or Taylor Vocally. She doesn't need big notes to paint the picture with her words. She has a very clean soprano vocal. Camilla is the R&B influenced power vocalist. She's gonna give runs , riffs, and adlibs that is going you have shook. Both haven't been given the chance to show what they are REALLY capable of. I could hear KG tapping into her whistle registry and Camila giving DIVA moments. This group is special and my hope is that they will get material that showcase them at their absolute best. If I was going to craft their sound moving forward, I would take a page from (G)I-DLE

One more thing worth mentionning about KG is she's a musician. That's always usefull in a group. JYPE tends to let idols film some covers while playing instrument like Dahyun piano covers, and it's always usefull to have someone able to read music and make music especially if the girls have the possibility to write and co-write some songs later ^^
I don’t love KG’s voice. Just totally personal opinion. I think she’s a fine singer. But I do love that she’s a musician. That music knowledge will really help the group!

Actually, I think Lexi IS the best ballet dancer under JYPE rn, yk I'm amazed by her, usually ballet dancers are stiff when dancing to hip hop or street choreographies, but my God, she performed SKZ God's Menu was surprising

kendall isn't a bad singer, she's just not trained very well for pop. apparently (according to kprofiles) she was a soprano 1 in choir, so she's more used to blending into a large group. i hope she'll get some good individual training, because she definitely doesn't have a bad voice, it's just not tailored to the type of singing needed for pop
I was in choir with Kendall. She always stuck out a lot from the group and was quite loud. No doubt she was more conditioned to singing in a group but I believe she always was better suited for singing individually anyways. But in general she was a really talented soprano singer!
She’s absolutely a bad singer. School choirs don’t require any type of skill or talent. Soprano 1 just means she had to sing the highest parts in an arrangement not that she was the best soprano in the choir. Her voice is just bad. No amount of training can change her tone without causing permanent damage to her already limited voice. There’s really no amount of cope that can change that.
To American standards, Kendall wasn't anything special. But to Korean standards, she was a perfect idol. You don't need perfect dance. You need acceptable dance. There is more emphasis on visuals and stage presence--which are her highest marks. Her vocals were 'acceptable'. It is likely she'll be given less lines, but be at the center more. She is visually appealing and knows how to connect to the audience. I saw that on her first audition. She is a siren, if you will. So for all of you haters out there, you'll have to live with her. She won't be leaving the group anytime soon.
Yesss, even tho Vcha is an international group, Koreans will still have a lot of influence in it and Kaylee + Kendall will probably be the focus of their attention

I love all the members. I love KG, but I appreciate that you didn't just worship her vocals and admitted her vocals are average for a singer. Yes she's better than most the other girls but she still has a lot of improving to do. I prefer when people are realistic rather than just all-praising. I want them all to succeed and grow and i've fallen for all of their charms!
KG is much higher than "an average " vocalist. You're right with the dancing criticism, tho. She is a quick learner from what I've seen in recent clips.
In my humble opinion, kaylee should be 2, cause she and camila are the only all-rounders, she's good at every area truly, and she's still too young so she's the most promising one too, also she's the most stable even if she's the youngest, and furthermore she only trained 1 week for vocals, and had few days for learning the choreo of dalla dalla. And lastly when they performed on showcase shows, it was undeniable that she was the most stable one once again. Also i think savanna is more balanced than lexi
Her dancing needs a lot of work, when compared to the others, she's still really stiff. And to be considered an all rounder she needs to know how to rap too, which she doesn't.
Kaylee is korean american and Gina is half korean half french, they're the same age too. Gina can't be there to comunicate with korean staff but Kaylee can too
KG may be the last in terms of dance, but if we're talking about talent, she can rap, play the piano, guitar, and write and produce songs. I disagree with her being the average lead singer, her singing voice has the modern vibe and easy to listen to. She knows when to hold back, but she also can hit those notes easily.

During a2k jyps favouritism towards kendall pissed me so much, I wasn’t able to really appreciate her talent, but in their debut she shined so much, definitely the it girl of the group

Savanna didn’t stick out to much in the show but SHES TOO GOOD! She’s like the whole package, dancing, singing, rapping, and a unique presence! I’m really glad she’s in the group.
Another thing, Lexi was apart of a famous K-pop cover group here in Chicago so she sure has experience with K-pop dancing. I’m so proud on how much she grew

I find it so crazy how people undermine Kendall's talent. She ranked first in character assessment and JYP chose girls he saw potential in. He focused on the trajectory rather than current place, and her growth was undeniable throughout A2K. She's become increasingly stable with each performance, and her voice is so unique. She is the most alluring on stage as well. You may not think she's the perfect vocalist, but she is the perfect performer. And that's what a k-pop idol is. No remaining contestant could replace her. She's unique in every way. The fact you all keep bringing her up to put her down shows she's left her mark on you. She's already a star.
I agree with you because she shows signs that she is able to improve even with the short amount of time they had. She made mistakes and Jyp gave her feed back to which she was able to adapt quickly it might not have been that best but that could be fixed later as long as the bad Habits can be undone which Is so important as he was looking for those who are able to improve. People don’t like her nasally voice but I think she can improve with that because Jin also has a very nasally voice and his vocals improved so much over time and it gives him a unique sound and I also think it can be the same for Kendall. Plus with the music they have put out i can hear the improvement so far and I think their debut will really show how hard she works.
2:16 kg shouldn’t be 5! Her dancing is very weak compared to the others, but her singing ability makes up for it! she should at least be 3! Edit: my ranking! 1. Camila (all-rounder! She can sing, dance, and rap) 2. Lexi (I would say Lexi (as of right now) is a watered down (I don’t mean it in a bad way) all-rounder! She just needs more time!) 3. Kg (despite being a weak dancer, her incredible vocal talent is where she shines! She’s probably (if not) the best vocalist in the group) 4. In my opinion JYP did a great choises to do not choises Gina, yeah, she was great but she didn't give a lot of emotion when she was performing, even if JYP remebers to her to show more emotions that is very important for kpop culture, but I think and hope (she was my favourite) that she will be popular in the future and we will see her again because she had lot of potential, she just need to take some acting classes.

I agree with the ranking, but I have to say that Lexi is still the best dancer in Vcha, technically and in terms of energy distribution and charisma, and she's also a dance leader. Also, I am anticipating seeing Kaylee's growth in a few years, if she's that good at 14, I wonder how much she will improve when she's Camila's age.

Whenever I see people saying Gina should have made the final group, I genuinely wonder if we saw the same show. They should have never let her on the show in the first place. You cannot tell me that as a trainee that they didn’t try to work on her stage presence. She got the same feedback over and over on the show, she likely got that same feedback as a trainee. I don’t know if someone thought in a higher pressure situation she would get it together or what. But halfway through the show I thought they were basically torturing this poor girl.
Savanna is definetly above Lexi! She is a better rapper and around the same level in dance. Plus she wins vocals too (tho Lexi and Savanna both arent rlly strong in that category).
Now do this but you actually rate everyone on their abilities now! Instead of using clips from the very beginning of A2K to prove your points, like you did for almost every single clip in this video. They've improved and grew more since the beginning of A2K. Also if you are going to brutally rank them, we will also be brutal to you too. (Not because you made this video but because of what you said.) Clearly you don't know VCHA very well at all. Kaylee is Korean herself and is fluent in Korean they do not need Gina for that. It sucks we didn't get Gina in the group but they have Kaylee to translate, if that is your only argument about Gina being in the group then now we have informed you that having her for that reason would not be very beneficial.
Look, different positions exist in IDOL groups for different reasons. Being a 'face' with natural charisma and stage presence is as important as being a lead vocal and I am bored of smoothbrains saying that it isn't. Kendall is more than able to hold her own vocally and with choreo even if she isn't the best in the group, but I am over her being dismissed as if she brings nothing. Having presence and charm on and off stage is an extremely valuable asset to any group. JYP himself understands this and builds his groups on that principle. Stop building these lists on the idea that only vocals and choreo matter. It's such a bad basic take when it comes to idol groups and shows a real lack of understanding of what they actually are. Other talents/ qualities matter as much.
Gina is not needed in the group, there's a reason why she wasn't picked. You mention that she speaks Korean, but Kaylee, who is fully Korean, fills that role already. There was nothing memorable about any of Gina's performances, thinking right now I can't even remember anything she performed. There's no denying that she's talented, but even after seeing her solo stuff I still can say that she does not leave an impression.
Well in that episode, she was struggling with allergies. I was shocked just in general that any of them would choose a Whitney Houston song, but we can't say for sure if she would have been better or the same without her allergies.
based on skill* judging them based on talent is a faulty concept ; talent is a natural affinity towards something-not something that should be judged. singing, dancing, rapping, and performing are all skills! of course you can use talent as a supplement to explain why one member may have more skill than another

I ranked them as well before watching this and we had the EXACT ranking. It's very evident these girls strengths and weaknesses, but also how much they have IMPROVED! I can't wait for these girls to debut and see how they succeed in 2024!

All that I will say is that I question whether if Camilia joining Vcha is a good idea for her career. Tbh, I think she would be better suited as a soloist under a big western label, such as Republic Records. Who's co-funding Vcha alongside JYPE. For context, republic records artists include the following: - Ariana Grande - Drake - Lorde - Nicki Minaj - Post Malone - Taylor Swift - The Weeknd etc. If I was in charge of Republic Records I would've taken her off the show and signed her as a soloist in the states, but that's just me.
Yes. I’m really looking forward to her future as a performer and artist. She truly has the spark. I’ve said this elsewhere, but she reminds me so much of Naya Rivera. Just such a bombshell of a performer ❤

The only thing that deceptions me was that Gina didn't debut with VCHA, the other 2 girls specially Yuna it was really clear that is a huge difference on her vocals and dance skills, Christina was a good dancer but the performance experience that other dancer members have like Lexi... don't get me wrong Christina and Yuna were good but not as good as the others and the trainers feedback also counted for the final members. a rapper is a person who is good at rap, not a person who is worse at singing than others, they shouldn't make anyone a rapper just to fill that spot. none of them is an excellent rapper tbh, but so far from what we've seen Savanna raps the best

It's American K-pop girl group, a mix of K-pop and American pop and the members are diverse from different nationalities but they all grew up in America, well KG is full American

I think some of them should have the same rank since they have areas they need to improve on. For example, KG and Lexi should be the same ranking due to one needing to improve in dancing and the other in vocals. KG's vocals are not average. She is pretty good for her age and of course she can keep improving with her vocals. She has technique to be able to do those runs.
My opinion is that if they weren’t going have Gina then they shouldn’t have added Kendall period. Like make it the qualified girls. Kendall can only ride on her looks and presence for so long
Gina was not ready to debut at all (especially as a group member). She was one of my favorites, and I tried to support her music videos after A2K, but you can tell why she didn’t make it.
I dont hate Kendall and im not saying she shouldn't be on the show, however, I do believe JYP showed some favoritism, giving her high points for subjects that arent even related to stage presence for the reason "stage presence". Arai Ayaka of Niziu, Kendall of Vcha, Kim Sohye of I.O.I. were all relatively weak in dancing and not the best singers either for their debut team. While it may seem unfair, a good part of what it takes to be a Kpop idol is visuals (aka - Korean beauty standards). If you have this beauty and can also use it to allure the audience (stage presence), then you will beat out a lot of people who are better at dancing (and even better at vocals) than you. Ultimately, a kpop group ideally is composed of someone who is an ace in the singing department (GG's is Tayeon), someone who is exceptional at dance (Momo of Twice), and someone who can rap. Beyond that, the most important things are visuals. Some other important things to have that often get overlooked are members who are good leaders, who come up with good choreography for dances their team does, idols who can come up with their own hit songs (Soyeon anyone?) and people who bring unity to a team. But the most important factor once the first 3 categories have been covered are idols with good visuals and stage presence (as long as their dance and singing are at acceptable levels). It would be nice to have a group with people talented in everything, but that just isn't realistic.
I feel like JYP chose the people he chose maybe because some he thought just didn’t fit the groups theme and maybe others because they might be better off as a soloist or something and he doesn’t want to crush it by putting them into a group.
Nah, sorry, KG should be higher just with singing alone. I'll hear the other girls make small mistakes while dancing live, but her voice is literally perfect even when dancing the entire time. I love her vovals ❤
i literally agree with everything you said including the ending, it was so disappointing I get people giving their opinions right after the show but since it's over and it's not time for them to debut I think it's time to be more accepting. I was really disappointed when Gina didn't make it because honestly having it be 9 members would've been so nice! But now I"ve accepted the ones who did make it and I could only hope they don't receive more hate because again, THEY'RE JUST LITTLE GIRLS!
Honestly I think that instead of kendal being chosen, it should have been Gina. Gina had everything Kendal lacked, which was talent in general. Gina was a better dancer, singer, and had more rhythm for sure. Her only issue was her star quality. Although she is fluent in Korean and knows a lot about the kpop industry, she wasn't able to use those skills throughout the entire show. She reminded me of Jiwon on sixteen. Both very talented girls, but eventually got eliminated for not being able to captivate their audience.
The problem of Gina is that as good as she was she also had flaws but the difference between her and kendal is that kendal kept working on her flaws and showed improvement every time meanwhile Gina didn't change a bit and kept being stiff the whole show improvement in less time is the most important factor for the evaluation
Gina didn't show emotions visually, or through singing. That was the problem. Being a k-pop idol is to be a performer. Kendall was brilliant on stage and left an impression. Gina was not memorable. This lineup is perfect.

Ask any professional singers and they too will say that KG is an average lead vocalist ...There's nothing standout about her tone or capability ... It sounds like your average Singing comp contestant that goes further into the rounds
She can belt and she has the technique to do vocal runs. I think she is a bit above the average singer. She can still improve as a vocalist as any vocalist can.

Lexi, Kendall (last 3 are interchangeable, depending upon each performance) Rap: *Currently after debut, we've only seen Lexi and Savannah rap and both sound good. And we know from the show that Camilla is also good. Now, stability in live performance: 1. KG (Mind-blowing growth, this young lady. I remember thinking she's not suited for the group. She can be a solo singer, that's all but now she SHINES) 2. Kaylee (the one true all rounder of the group) 3. Lexi, Savannah, Camilla (Lexi and Savannah have easier parts probably so they sound better than Camilla at times, breathing wise. Camilla sounds out of breath but then she is given important vocal lines while doing dance which was not her expertise but she still improved in it) 4. Kendall (Breath wise she sounds stable, but tone sometimes seems off but still she's improved a LOT and is doing great)

And yes I would consider her to be at those levels because she climbed that ladder from the bottom, for dance, and for singing she was already good but she learned how to polish that further and currently she's the most stable one in lives (PS I always thought she is really good but doesn't belong here, and will be better off as only a soloist singer doing her own specific genre, until the final few missions in the survival show, and her later Vcha performances, which proved her idol potential )

The reason Gina did not get in was a personality thing, imo. I liked her, but there was a clear self desire in her that viewed the other girls as prey, rather than partners. There's a lot that goes on behind the camera that we don't see. This is of course, all opinion and conjecture, but I think it was the right call. I still sub to Gina's yt and support her independent career; which is what I think she needed all along.

This is exactly it. Her edit was AWFUL for the American audience. People would have rooted for her (like they did Yuna) if she had been played as an underdog. Praising her when it was undeserved was just a bad choice. She has that IT factor and I 100% think she should have made the group. But the presentation of her was so bad.
The people that hated on Kendall, really only hated her because, She was JYP's darling from the beginning, they didn't hate Kendall, they just hated JYP, which is sad and stupid and unfair to Kendall. JYP saw in her something a lot of people didn't, and Kendal I would say is the most improved out of all the girls in the contest, she deserved it, because she out performed the girls who didn't make it.

Ok but as a Korean, Kendall ate her "24 Hours by Sunmi" performance. Her pronunciation, dance, vocals, and facial expressions were so good to the point I wanted her to debut at that moment. She at least deserves credit for that.

I’m glad that the people who made it in the group made it. Christina had a lot of back problems, Melissa seemed like she’ll work better as a soloist, and Gina struggled a lot with showing emotion which made it much harder for me to connect with her dancing. I feel like Yuna and Mischa were robbed because Yuna just needed help with counting and being on beat, while Mischa was really good and improving really well.
I too believe Yuna and Mischa were robbed. They just needed a little more training but were both so sweet and talented. Mischa didn't ever get credit for her improvements and should have been allowed to at least go to Korea with the others. I really like all 11 of them but some of them are better as soloist. Gina is putting out some very good stuff and Yuna is in one with her. Cristina is also putting up dance videos and probably has a lot more students in her dance classes since she is more famous and has had more training. Melissa still has a beautiful voice and good attitude so I wish them all the very best!!
honestly I wouldn't say robbed... They were just not ready... which is ok too... JYP can help them, on singing and dancing, but Mischa just lacked stage presence, or as JYP puts it star quality, and Yuna gets stage fright... As someone who also gets stage fright it's not something you can overcome easily... For an idol to get stage fright, it's probably not the right career path...

Yuna wasn't robbed. She didn't have dance timing down. And that will make any kpop performance flop. She was cancer to any kpop group.
Mischa wasn't robbed either, because she couldn't connect to the audience. She had strange habits (like looking over the viewer) that were just odd and made (JYP) uncomfortable. While she did get a little better, she just didn't have good stage presence.
Vocally, KG is more modern like Tate McRae or Taylor Vocally. She doesn't need big notes to paint the picture with her words. She has a very clean soprano vocal. Camilla is the R&B influenced power vocalist. She's gonna give runs , riffs, and adlibs that is going you have shook.
Both haven't been given the chance to show what they are REALLY capable of. I could hear KG tapping into her whistle registry and Camila giving DIVA moments.
This group is special and my hope is that they will get material that showcase them at their absolute best.
If I was going to craft their sound moving forward, I would take a page from (G)I-DLE

One more thing worth mentionning about KG is she's a musician. That's always usefull in a group. JYPE tends to let idols film some covers while playing instrument like Dahyun piano covers, and it's always usefull to have someone able to read music and make music especially if the girls have the possibility to write and co-write some songs later ^^
yeah KG is a songwriter, so I hope she gets to the point where she's allowed to write title tracks for the group.

kendall isn't a bad singer, she's just not trained very well for pop. apparently (according to kprofiles) she was a soprano 1 in choir, so she's more used to blending into a large group. i hope she'll get some good individual training, because she definitely doesn't have a bad voice, it's just not tailored to the type of singing needed for pop

I was in choir with Kendall. She always stuck out a lot from the group and was quite loud. No doubt she was more conditioned to singing in a group but I believe she always was better suited for singing individually anyways. But in general she was a really talented soprano singer!
She’s absolutely a bad singer. School choirs don’t require any type of skill or talent. Soprano 1 just means she had to sing the highest parts in an arrangement not that she was the best soprano in the choir. Her voice is just bad. No amount of training can change her tone without causing permanent damage to her already limited voice. There’s really no amount of cope that can change that.
To American standards, Kendall wasn't anything special. But to Korean standards, she was a perfect idol. You don't need perfect dance. You need acceptable dance. There is more emphasis on visuals and stage presence--which are her highest marks. Her vocals were 'acceptable'. It is likely she'll be given less lines, but be at the center more. She is visually appealing and knows how to connect to the audience. I saw that on her first audition. She is a siren, if you will. So for all of you haters out there, you'll have to live with her. She won't be leaving the group anytime soon.

I love all the members. I love KG, but I appreciate that you didn't just worship her vocals and admitted her vocals are average for a singer. Yes she's better than most the other girls but she still has a lot of improving to do. I prefer when people are realistic rather than just all-praising. I want them all to succeed and grow and i've fallen for all of their charms!

In my humble opinion, kaylee should be 2, cause she and camila are the only all-rounders, she's good at every area truly, and she's still too young so she's the most promising one too, also she's the most stable even if she's the youngest, and furthermore she only trained 1 week for vocals, and had few days for learning the choreo of dalla dalla. Her dancing needs a lot of work, when compared to the others, she's still really stiff. And to be considered an all rounder she needs to know how to rap too, which she doesn't.

I find it so crazy how people undermine Kendall's talent. She ranked first in character assessment and JYP chose girls he saw potential in. He focused on the trajectory rather than current place, and her growth was undeniable throughout A2K. She's become increasingly stable with each performance, and her voice is so unique. She is the most alluring on stage as well. You may not think she's the perfect vocalist, but she is the perfect performer. And that's what a k-pop idol is.
No remaining contestant could replace her. She's unique in every way. The fact you all keep bringing her up to put her down shows she's left her mark on you. She's already a star.

I agree with you because she shows signs that she is able to improve even with the short amount of time they had. She made mistakes and Jyp gave her feed back to which she was able to adapt quickly it might not have been that best but that could be fixed later as long as the bad Habits can be undone which Is so important as he was looking for those who are able to improve. People don’t like her nasally voice but I think she can improve with that because Jin also has a very nasally voice and his vocals improved so much over time and it gives him a unique sound and I also think it can be the same for Kendall. Plus with the music they have put out i can hear the improvement so far and I think their debut will really show how hard she works.
2:16 kg shouldn’t be 5! Her dancing is very weak compared to the others, but her singing ability makes up for it! she should at least be 3!

2. Lexi (I would say Lexi (as of right now) is a watered down (I don’t mean it in a bad way) all-rounder! She just needs more time!)

Also, I am anticipating seeing Kaylee's growth in a few years, if she's that good at 14, I wonder how much she will improve when she's Camila's age.

Whenever I see people saying Gina should have made the final group, I genuinely wonder if we saw the same show. They should have never let her on the show in the first place. You cannot tell me that as a trainee that they didn’t try to work on her stage presence. She got the same feedback over and over on the show, she likely got that same feedback as a trainee. I don’t know if someone thought in a higher pressure situation she would get it together or what. But halfway through the show I thought they were basically torturing this poor girl.

(Not because you made this video but because of what you said.) Clearly you don't know VCHA very well at all. Kaylee is Korean herself and is fluent in Korean they do not need Gina for that. It sucks we didn't get Gina in the group but they have Kaylee to translate, if that is your only argument about Gina being in the group then now we have informed you that having her for that reason would not be very beneficial.
Look, different positions exist in IDOL groups for different reasons. Being a 'face' with natural charisma and stage presence is as important as being a lead vocal and I am bored of smoothbrains saying that it isn't.
Kendall is more than able to hold her own vocally and with choreo even if she isn't the best in the group, but I am over her being dismissed as if she brings nothing. Having presence and charm on and off stage is an extremely valuable asset to any group. JYP himself understands this and builds his groups on that principle.
Stop building these lists on the idea that only vocals and choreo matter. It's such a bad basic take when it comes to idol groups and shows a real lack of understanding of what they actually are. Other talents/ qualities matter as much.

Gina is not needed in the group, there's a reason why she wasn't picked. You mention that she speaks Korean, but Kaylee, who is fully Korean, fills that role already. There was nothing memorable about any of Gina's performances, thinking right now I can't even remember anything she performed. There's no denying that she's talented, but even after seeing her solo stuff I still can say that she does not leave an impression.

All this group needs are some VERY GOOD songs. They have everything going for them, except that -- so far.
All that I will say is that I question whether if Camilia joining Vcha is a good idea for her career. Tbh, I think she would be better suited as a soloist under a big western label, such as Republic Records. Who's co-funding Vcha alongside JYPE.
For context, republic records artists include the following:
- Ariana Grande
- Drake
- Lorde
- Nicki Minaj
- Post Malone
- Taylor Swift
- The Weeknd
etc.
If I was in charge of Republic Records I would've taken her off the show and signed her as a soloist in the states, but that's just me.

Camilla first audio was so good
The only thing that deceptions me was that Gina didn't debut with VCHA, the other 2 girls specially Yuna it was really clear that is a huge difference on her vocals and dance skills, Christina was a good dancer but the performance experience that other dancer members have like Lexi... don't get me wrong Christina and Yuna were good but not as good as the others and the trainers feedback also counted for the final members.

a rapper is a person who is good at rap, not a person who is worse at singing than others, they shouldn't make anyone a rapper just to fill that spot. none of them is an excellent rapper tbh, but so far from what we've seen Savanna raps the best

Kendall turned out to be more stable vocally than KG in her performance in Mexico so I’m really interested in seeing what the future holds for the group.

I think some of them should have the same rank since they have areas they need to improve on. For example, KG and Lexi should be the same ranking due to one needing to improve in dancing and the other in vocals. KG's vocals are not average. She is pretty good for her age and of course she can keep improving with her vocals. She has technique to be able to do those runs.

Gina was not ready to debut at all (especially as a group member). She was one of my favorites, and I tried to support her music videos after A2K, but you can tell why she didn’t make it.

I dont hate Kendall and im not saying she shouldn't be on the show, however, I do believe JYP showed some favoritism, giving her high points for subjects that arent even related to stage presence for the reason "stage presence". Now, with all that said, do I think Kendall shouldnt be in the group? No. Because even if the praise was too much she is still talented and has not stood out in the group for being "bad".

Arai Ayaka of Niziu, Kendall of Vcha, Kim Sohye of I.O.I. were all relatively weak in dancing and not the best singers either for their debut team. While it may seem unfair, a good part of what it takes to be a Kpop idol is visuals (aka - Korean beauty standards). If you have this beauty and can also use it to allure the audience (stage presence), then you will beat out a lot of people who are better at dancing (and even better at vocals) than you. Ultimately, a kpop group ideally is composed of someone who is an ace in the singing department (GG's is Tayeon), someone who is exceptional at dance (Momo of Twice), and someone who can rap. Beyond that, the most important things are visuals. Some other important things to have that often get overlooked are members who are good leaders, who come up with good choreography for dances their team does, idols who can come up with their own hit songs (Soyeon anyone?) and people who bring unity to a team. But the most important factor once the first 3 categories have been covered are idols with good visuals and stage presence (as long as their dance and singing are at acceptable levels). It would be nice to have a group with people talented in everything, but that just isn't realistic.
Vocals sure, but I'd say Kendall is probably the third best dancer in the group after the two obvious main dancers.
Kendall is for sure not weak at dancing like even with long limbs she managed to not make them awkward
I feel like JYP chose the people he chose maybe because some he thought just didn’t fit the groups theme and maybe others because they might be better off as a soloist or something and he doesn’t want to crush it by putting them into a group.

Nah, sorry, KG should be higher just with singing alone. I'll hear the other girls make small mistakes while dancing live, but her voice is literally perfect even when dancing the entire time. I love her vovals ❤

i literally agree with everything you said including the ending, it was so disappointing I get people giving their opinions right after the show but since it's over and it's not time for them to debut I think it's time to be more accepting. I was really disappointed when Gina didn't make it because honestly having it be 9 members would've been so nice! But now I"ve accepted the ones who did make it and I could only hope they don't receive more hate because again, THEY'RE JUST LITTLE GIRLS!

Honestly I think that instead of kendal being chosen, it should have been Gina. Gina had everything Kendal lacked, which was talent in general. Gina was a better dancer, singer, and had more rhythm for sure. Her only issue was her star quality. Although she is fluent in Korean and knows a lot about the kpop industry, she wasn't able to use those skills throughout the entire show. She reminded me of Jiwon on sixteen. Both very talented girls, but eventually got eliminated for not being able to captivate their audience.
The problem of Gina is that as good as she was she also had flaws but the difference between her and kendal is that kendal kept working on her flaws and showed improvement every time meanwhile Gina didn't change a bit and kept being stiff the whole show improvement in less time is the most important factor for the evaluation

Gina didn't show emotions visually, or through singing. That was the problem. Being a k-pop idol is to be a performer. Kendall was brilliant on stage and left an impression. Gina was not memorable. This lineup is perfect.

I'm not going to lie, it hurts to know that after a few years jyp is just going to neglect them and not promote VCHA properly just like what JYP is doing to boy story currently because, throughout the years I have noticed that entertainment companies will debut foreigners then, after a couple of years the companies will mistreat and neglect the foreigners. Like companies only debut foreigners to make themselves look good. I know how sad that is but it's the truth unfortunately. Like companies don't care about the foreigners they debut and it's really sad to know that like it breaks my heart knowing companies don't even care about other nationalities but their own :(

Ask any professional singers and they too will say that KG is an average lead vocalist ...There's nothing standout about her tone or capability ... It sounds like your average Singing comp contestant that goes further into the rounds
She can belt and she has the technique to do vocal runs. I think she is a bit above the average singer. She can still improve as a vocalist as any vocalist can.

(last 3 are interchangeable, depending upon each performance)
Rap:
*Currently after debut, we've only seen Lexi and Savannah rap and both sound good.
And we know from the show that Camilla is also good.
Now, stability in live performance:
1. KG (Mind-blowing growth, this young lady. I remember thinking she's not suited for the group. She can be a solo singer, that's all but now she SHINES)
2. Kaylee (the one true all rounder of the group)
3. Lexi, Savannah, Camilla
(Lexi and Savannah have easier parts probably so they sound better than Camilla at times, breathing wise. Camilla sounds out of breath but then she is given important vocal lines while doing dance which was not her expertise but she still improved in it)
4. Kendall (Breath wise she sounds stable, but tone sometimes seems off but still she's improved a LOT and is doing great)
For dance I believe that Camilla and Kendall should be third instead based on their recent live performances.

@@mookchie You can disagree. No problem, we all have different views on this. In my opinion KG has shown the most drastic Improvement. And yes I would consider her to be at those levels because she climbed that ladder from the bottom, for dance, and for singing she was already good but she learned how to polish that further and currently she's the most stable one in lives
(PS I always thought she is really good but doesn't belong here, and will be better off as only a soloist singer doing her own specific genre, until the final few missions in the survival show, and her later Vcha performances, which proved her idol potential )
