For adding cloudflare to Google domains you have visit your Google domains dashboard and change nameservers from there. I also have a video about Google domains.
@@smarthelpguides oh right. Of course.. I’ve got cloud flare connected to google domain simply for the ssl. So the name server is pointing to Go daddy as site was designed there is this right ? but I’d like to move to another host

Would I just install wordpress and once the times you mentioned are completed I can access to update design side of things ? I was thinking of namecheap for hosting .

It wasn't showing the lock icon but the ssl certificate was available and when i installed the plugin, the lock appeared. I hope it will not cause any problem in future. Nice. Question - What type of encryption you suggest for a website where there are no online purchases/transactions involved. End to end. or Browser to cloudflare.? reason. SSL give us security. at the same time its takes 3 time more time to process the ssl request when compared to non ssl request. I am asking this question in this context.
Flexible is fine, if no login credentials or private information is involved. Full is recommended. A lot of isp also like to tamper with http request and ssl is a necessity from seo perspective and for general security, some browsers will show unnecessary warnings for non ssl.

How does it work if site was designed on go daddy but domain is on google. I tried to locate the dns via godaddy dashboard but it says offsite .

You have to change the new server IP in cloudflare dashboard dns settings or update new nameservers of new hosting with your domain registrar

i have recieved that "cloudflare is protecting" email but it is showing notsecure msg i have updated but still its not working could u plz help..??
Try after few hours or from a different browser to bypass cache.

If you followed all steps properly then there should not be any problem. Certificate should auto renew. Check validity date after 48 hours.

You need access to the domain registrar controlpanel for updating dns records.

Change your cloudflare ssl settings to flexible. You can make it full after 24 hrs if you used the custom certificate.
