It said that I didn't have a trusted protocol and my website went black. I was on the installing plugin part of this video when this happened so I reverted my nameservers back to the basic nameservers I had on Namecheap and everything went back to normal but I won't have a secure website. Any tips as to what happened?
I have put a three websites ! untill now one is protected and other two , somehow in ssl wp plugin is not showing installed certificate ,then i cannot activate ssl??? is that a matter of time or what wrong or what??? any help
Hey quick question whenever i remove the name server from my GoDaddy dashboard and place the cloudflare ones my site gets down, and i think it's because i have hosting from another company so i have to place nameservers given by them to connect the site. So now I'm in this constant loop of getting SSL if i place cloudflare name server and getting website back if i place hosting nameservers. So what should I do?
Hey, thanks for the video. I'm reading that I want to make sure all DNS records are added into Cloudflare before continuing to the next step. Where do I go to double check all this information?
i tried this out yesterday and I didn't work for me although I followed the instructions, today I can't access my website and the "can't reach your page" keep popping out, do you have any idea how can I fx this?
I hosted my custom code site on godaddy and bought domain there, but I didn't get SSL certificate, I tried this video for my problem and it doesn't work. I changed hostnames on godaddy but for nothing... Any help?
As I figured doing this would make websites not work anymore as mentioned in comments below. Changing nameservers changes where the domain is hosted. So I have no idea how this would work because SSL doesn't usually work this way. Usually you change the SSL settings in cPanel. I have no idea how the guy in the video got this to work and how it would work at all changing the nameservers unless you had a place in CloudFlare to point to the hosting name servers? Going to stay away from this and just use ZeroSSL for now.
If you have successfully set up your SSL certificate through Cloudflare, then you do not need to repoint the nameservers back to the original. You have to keep them pointed to Cloudflare for the SSL certificate to work using this method. Hope this helps and thanks for watching!
Why not include instructions on how to add a DNS record as well? Some people here don’t know what they’re doing, and all email emails config and other things don’t work at all.
Your Video is phenomenal!!! thank you so much it was way too easy with the right instruction I have been stuck on securing my domain and within minutes I was able to do it thanks to you and this informational video thank you so much!!!
I have been trying (and trying) to get this to work but failed. My site is currently on Siteground. I already had the SSL turned on. Before I started your process, I deleted the SSL on Siteground. After I do the steps on Cloudflare, it looks good on their dashboard but I cannot access the website anymore. I get this error, ERR_SSL_VERSION_OR_CIPHER_MISMATCH It has been about 4 hours since I changed the nameservers, I believe this site is using the Cloudflare nameservers now. any ideas on how to fix the issue?

This is great. Do you have a video about securing a domain name bought from Cloudflare?
Thanks much mate. This is very helpful. Worked like charm.

You should only need to point nameservers to a specific service or hosting for a short period of time to verify.
The plugin doesn't work, how to do SSL done the right way?
Hey, thanks for the video.
I'm reading that I want to make sure all DNS records are added into Cloudflare before continuing to the next step.
Where do I go to double check all this information?
Please follow this documentation: developers.cloudflare.com/dns/manage-dns-records/how-to/create-dns-records/

Add A and CNAME records in cloudflare. This should point cloudflare to your hosting.
not worked. Messages are:
SSL handshake failed Error code 525
Host Error
What are additional page rules in cloud flare? Does the free ssl from cloud flare only protect a limited number of pages on a site?

In this case please get in touch with your server/hosting provider.

Do you have to repoint the original nameservers of the hosting platform after doing the SSL check?
