Been watching yah for years and years now man, and I have to say this is the best idea you've done. Your questions in this video are exactly what I was asking myself when he was talking. Great job man! Can't wait to see what other artists you're doing this with!
Learned so much from this. It's cool to be able to understand what they were talking about throughout the video, especially when they got into sound design and fx. Iv'e been producing for 2 years now and I would've been completely lost if I watched this when I first started out. Truth is it takes time and patience to build your craft as a music producer. Cheers.
I really appreciate you guys getting together and talking about such useful information. I always wish I personally knew and could learn from people at this level. Considering my current production and networking rating, that isn't happening anytime soon. So, a huge thanks from people like me for making these valuable discussions happen!!
This one was awesome. Here's a couple of ideas I got from it! -Structure the song out early to not get caught in “the loop” -For designing Super Saws, open a new “doodle prjoect”, make the synths, then bring them into the project. -With Super Saws, There were layers, and the layers were harmonizing -On the top of super saws, cut out the top (The melodic) and replace with a sidechaines “Noise” layer. At that frequency you don’t really hear pitch, and rather than have phasy notes going on, you can get the feel with a steady sidechained noise layer. -Spends 70-100 hours on a song. Good to remember (Could include time your mixing engineer spends on it) -Trivecta layers a lot of percussive and textural stuff on top of his basses an leads (Using Damage samples as part of and on top of mid bass)
Really good information gathered from this chat. I also thought this video goes to show that you're never too big to learn new things. This was not in relation to my style of music but everything to do with work flow, techniques and production are all relatable. Your new series is a winner so far
Wyatt Christened well I make drum and bass. Neurofunk mainly and I'd love to see some tutorials showing how cubase effects and native plugins can be used to get similar outcomes to those using abelton. Most of the tutorials seem to use Abelton and I'd really like help understanding the tools in cubase if possible. Bit of a selfish request but there you go 😁 Otherwise, appreciate you guys taking the time to help us all understand production better.
Wyatt Christensen that is one to watch for then for me. Looking forward to seeing how they utilise cubase albeit an earlier version. Cheers for taking the time to reply
Man! Fantastic interview!!!!! More please. You could spin this off and monetize it... super grateful that you are giving this to us for free! Sam (Trivecta) was so forthcoming and willing to share... loved to see his work flow. Hoping your future guests are as willing to share like this! Cheers guys! TtT
Thanks for that! Amazing discussion and sharing of nuggets. You guys asked one of my favourite questions when you talked about injecting new ideas into supersaws. Would love to see a video where you explore that train of thought
Love this new format! So much great info, very useful .Keep up the great work, Thank you for sharing this insight. No better way to learn then this.Multiplyer hits a home run with this awesome new format! Big fan....
Phutureprimitaive and/or Cold Blue would be Awesome! Mitis as well. Skism, Excision, But anyone pro really. Super selfless for peeps to show their techniques. Thanks for reaching out!
@Wyatt Christensen hey thanks! I didn't get the normal notification from youtube about this comment. Cannot wait to check out the trivecta ITD. Thx again!! 👍
He has some pretty sick remixes and I don't know if it's possible, but Joe Mason would be a really cool candidate, especially his vocal chop technique. :D
@Multiplier, at 53:30, you affirmed “The EQ Eight algorithm is designed to sound best stationary whereas the Auto Filter is designed to sound best moving.” Are you really sure about that? As, the Live 9 manual states (p. 314) the EQ Eight and Auto Filter “Clean Circuit” algorithms are now the same.
You said thered be sound design..... I didnt see any sound design process what-so-ever. A LOT of post sound design processing but no sound design itself. :(
Love your vids, but as a creator how do you label "the best" in the industry that's kind of relative don't you think? Some of the best music is probably never heard since true creative people tend to be introverts and not sell out to an industry that regurgitates the same sound and ideas over and over just to make money. For example Skrillex he actually pissed off some of the true dubstep artists like Benga to the point that they no longer are a part of the genre.
This dude always uploads useful content.
to be honest he is getting boring
What I love is that Sam(Trivecta) is just one big ball of positive energy. Its very encouraging seeing someone so passionate and down to earth.
one of the best vids ive seen on you're channel. hope to see more collabs like this in the future!

I wonder how many of those layers could be removed and you wouldn't be able to tell a difference. I'd wager a good few.
EQing DEEZ NUTS

how in the hell did he get the layout view in the top section of ableton?
are all those tracks really necessary? I bet I can accomplish a similar result with 50 or 40 tracks max
do it then.
You said thered be sound design..... I didnt see any sound design process what-so-ever. A LOT of post sound design processing but no sound design itself. :(
So convoluted. Who needs 175 tracks to make something that sounds nice?
Lol it happens when the audio tracks/samples add up
This guy does too much movements , This guy is weirds as f**k

Damn, bruh. Get to the point already.
