Yeah definitely man, like most of the uploads but I think this stood out more for me because it was the type of music I make so I could really get into this one, plus his workflow is really simple yet the end result is amazing, which is really fun to see compared to for example someone like Au5 who has like 3414 layers and automations in each song. Hey random question. With the 6-7-1 Pattern, isn't the 7th chord always diminished (vi-vii(o)-I)? The progression sounds awesome here. Just didnt sound like a diminished chord. What was the second chord you were hitting in this progression? Not near a piano atm. Much love

Also I learned what the Haas effect is. But probably my favorite is learning that the guitar can still sound good if it is chopped up, and put together so individual units make a new melody. I never thought of that.

Yea man, DIVA is just so incredible and Repro is the next soft synth I am saving for. Well Fab Filter is the obvious one: Saturn and Pro-Q 2 are two of my most used plugins. Another really popular company that you may already know is Valhalla DSP. Some of the sickest reverbs available. For a less obvious choice I really like both PSP and Toneboosters. They make two great saturators (Vintagewarmer and Reelbus, respectively). Audiodamage make great plugs too I would also highly recommend getting Reaktor by NI, since it's not only got great official content, but it also has an incredible user library full of 1000s of great plugins and synths (Boscomac make some of the best free Reaktor ensembles). The reaktor user library alone could have you set for life.
It was dope as always man! and to be honest with you I just finished organizing 4326578394658732 samples on my new laptop so im kinda sampled out at the moment hahaha
Awesome episode! If you could do an In the DAW with Au5 for his remix of Ocean by Seven Lions and Jason Ross that would be awesome! It has tons of glitch fills during the melodic drop that Wyatt always comments on and I'd love to see his workflow.
The gate has a sidechain toggle and then you turn on the sidechain input, and then turn on "flip" (which reverse's the gates behavior) and then you just mess with the parameters however you see fit. I'd recommend 10ms of lookahead time. With 1.5, there's going to be a lot of clicks. It's honestly much more efficient/cleaner than the regular compressors sidechain.
