Watching him revelling in this public sycophancy revealed the intrinsic moral frailty and dependency of actors - whose neediness of public adoration was enabled by the Weinstein machine - which chewed up those women he needed to dominate and manipulate.
I wonder how many of these actors ignored the rumours and gossip surrounding him and how many still 'feel the love' now he's incarcerated by regularly visiting him. What they were doing in those speeches was paying him his expected homage - not telling him what a wonderful human he was. This was keeping on the right side of a truly monstrous bully.
