- As Pac-Man escapes the hellish maze he was trapped in for years and tries to return to his family, he gets pulled back in by the same demons that have haunted him. He keeps on trying to be a father yet cannot fight off the demons. His wife tries to save him in Ms.PacMan yet only gets caught in the same fate as his husband. When the ghosts finally catch up, the title screen appears repeating the cycle. Pac-Man isn't just a game, it's a story of a father trying to come clean of his inner demons.

Apparently, The game only had so much memory so it could not handle all the levels. The game was not finished.

To fix the kill screen bug, the compare check for the level number would come right after said level number is loaded into memory. This also means changing other variables: by having it check against variable #12 rather than #13 and thus subtracting #6 instead of #7, in both cases because we did not increment this value before doing the compare. Two other bytes need to be changed: that is, we need to use two checksum bytes that are the sum of the total bytes we attained from the kill screen fix (one for odd values and one for even values).

kids, this is how Mrs.Pacman became a game
i have a fan theory about the pac-man “reboot”, where that version of pac-man is actually a grown up junior/pac-baby and the original and ms pac man are trapped in their respective mazes, tourtured by the original ghosts (the ones in the show being actual ghosts, i.e. dead pac-people, and the originals being consistently called “monsters”). the third season would’ve had pacster (the true name of reboot pac-man) saving them from their eternal hell.

It’s crZy how you once knew about this games but then later in life, you learn there is a deeper connection to this game than it just being a game to play, that is wild and crazy to think about. The one thing I’m curious about is the meaning about the siren noises
